I had the same problem with the Mevotech strut mount and the hardware spinning. I also found out the hard way that the studs on the Mevotechs are not long enough to run a strut tower brace and also a Strano master cylinder brace. I ended up using the Monroe version of the strut mounts; I also tried the Moog part they were garbage in my opinion, first time a Moog part disappointed me. Food for thought.

I appreciate all the great videos Klowny but a couple helpful notes on this job to try the next time. Just loosen the master cylinder. It doesn't need to come off. The caliper doesn't need to come off either, just support the whole rotor assembly with something underneath. You should never use a power tool on that top bolt for the shock on a Koni. There's a notch on the shaft to hold it with an open end so it doesn't spin as you tighten the nut, over time it may come loose doing it that way and you'll develop a clunking noise or may even damage the mount, at least give the nut a couple turns while holding the shaft after using the power tool. To free the spindle you don't need a ball joint puller, just tap both sides at the same time with a hammer in each hand and it pops right out with a few small taps.
