Called in tech support for GA4, they just telling me to install the script on all pages. Keep telling me to ask web developer to push events, etc... The developer with me on the call asking them how to do it - they cannot answer. Despite the fact that we told them the website has WooCommerce and running on WordPress. hello, great tutorial. was following apart. t 9:17 when you connect to your GA4 tag, i set up my Ga4 tag but all event parameters were empty. there were actually zero. do i need to add all manually 1 by 1?

Yes i added using your tutorial earlier i was using google site kit but ecommerce events were not getting recorded not ecommerce tag was getting fired - tried many times but with GTM plugin everything is good as you taught .... many thanks for posting your content here- its really valuable resource for me.

This video was almost great, however In debug mode it showed add to card and other events as "user engagement" rather than "added to cart," "purchase" etc. for me. Any idea why? I see in the comments that it looks like others are having the same issue also.

Hi Benjamin, I have an issue with my tag. The tag that i imported did the way you said is firing multiple times for a single event. For example, when i click 'add-to-cart' it fires at least 5 times. Can you please help

I have been trying to set up GA e-commerce tracking for about a month of which most of the time I spent curled up in a corner, quietly sobbing to myself. I have watched the video several times and checked and rechecked my configuration. The Ecommerce tag will not fire. I'm still running legacy GA3 at the same time. Plus a lookup table for dev, stage, and live. Any insights would be wonderful. I need to run both GA3 & GA4 until the switchover date for comparison.

You will need to publish the container, wait till a transaction occurs, and then check your reports again once the data has been processed.

I downloaded the container and uploaded it following the exact steps in the video (twice actually) but my tag doesn't have the event parameters in them like yours. It does have the 'send ecommerce data' box checked but no parameters like yours. Am I missing something

I’ve updated the container to use the new ecommerce tracking feature. This means you don’t need all of the seperate parameters.

I got a question... i actually want to use google tag manager to keep track of events not only for GA4 but also for facebook pixel, but im kind of confused. When we use the file you provide us and install the merge tag for creating and tracking the events from our woocommerce store in google tag manager, those events are now created in google tag manager right? and if so, when they are created, they link themselves with the events we can select to track in the configuration/events tab in GA4? Or do we need to create again the events in the event tab in GA4? the one where you can mark as a conversion or not.
