It was attached to the metal part of headlight housing. They tell you that it attaches to the metal in the light and it connects to the metal part of the bulb completing that circuit.

They run less cooler. It's not even a concern, being that Halogen run more hot and with the dust cover on from factory.

I'm not sure if this is true or not but I always assumed it was also for keeping moisture out. Getting moisture inside the headlight causes fogging and is annoying to get rid of.

Never secure wires like this guy did. Under the hood the wires need to be not exposed to the elements. This tape the wires and leave them hanging was a half ___ you know what job. Cut the wires and solder and heat shrink or get a waterproof inline splice you also shrink with heat, and it seals the wire connection. This guy just made a wire problem at least here in Ohio where we have rain, snow, and salt water in winter.

The housings fasteners loop over the halogen bulb. They can't loop over the back of this led. How does it work?
@AllaLighting4 жыл бұрын
For LED upgrade halogen, for some vehicles, extra H1 adapters maybe required to hold the LED, here is installation guide for your reference: kzbin.info/www/bejne/kIPCg6SjgaiUgbs, it has several H1 adapters depends on the stock retainer holder, so please check the OEM one and choose the correct, H1 headlight adapters option link is allalighting.com/search?type=product&q=h1+adapter

Question i cant remove the ground wire from the Housing. Can i use that led without attaching the ground wire?
@masterofuploader44 жыл бұрын
Or since it is attached to the housing can i just stick the ground wire to the housing?
@AllaLighting4 жыл бұрын
Ground/negative is required to power LED bulbs, you can use T-tap to splice LED bulb negative wire to ground cable in the housing, you can also stick LED bulb negative wire to metal ground in the housing using a soldering iron. If you don't have any of those, the easiest way to do so is to strip about 1 to 2 inches of both negative wire and ground wire then twist them together, wrap with electrical tap. check the connection regularly if you twist wires together, which is not as reliable as soldering joint or T-tap joint.

@AllaLighting4 жыл бұрын
It depends on your stock headlamps, if the stock headlamps has dual high and low beam, and choose the correct bulb sizes, and the LED will have the same function, If you are not sure what bulbs can fit your vehicle, please advise your vehicle's make, year and model for further assistance.

@PURESOUND43 жыл бұрын
@@FXPips11Halogen H1 bulbs are single filament, so they (and the LED replacements) are either high beam or low beam. My aftermarket Spyder headlights have an H1 for low beam in a projector, and another H1 in a reflector for the high beams. So when I made the switch to LEDs, I had to buy 4 LED replacements.
