Very good advice, Brett! Little things like that are good to pay close attention to. A squeaky door can give you away. You can sit there for hours and never know you're already busted.

100% agree! Big bucks and old does catch on quick. I recently watched a video of a guy recording himself while going up and into his blind. Between clammering up the steps, slamming the door shut, clicking the metal door latch, stomping on the hard floor only to sit in an old, squeaky chair... I was borderline OCD meltdown! But hey, he's out hunting so good for him.

@@UncleBucks 😅That's funny, but so true. I just uploaded an archery hunt of mine where I got nailed by a nice buck. He come rushing in and had me so stirred up that I got in too big of a hurry and clicked the safety off without pinching it. You can hear the deer turn, take off and then make a large circle in front of me as if to say, "Not today, Mr. - not today!". Deer have great hearing.

@@outdoorztime2923 I just watched it. Yeah, he knew he didn't like what he heard! I also just watched the one with the bear up your tree. Yikes!! Pretty sure I'd be discharging whatever weapon I had once he made that swat. And then proceed to changing my underwear lol.

Ha! It must be a sign to build your own door then. Truth is, I found this video clip on my phone. I didn't delete it thinking it would be a good stand alone short video. Forgot all about it until I found it scrolling through my album last evening.

Only change with the door I'd suggest is use something other than that foam tape for sealing it on the inside. That stuff doesn't hold up.

@@UncleBucks I’m actually planning to build a scaled up version of your hexagon design and will probably build a door like this for it. Did you ever get your hexagon set up on the posts?

@@andygrose not yet unfortunately. Other priorities are getting in the way but it's primarily a rifle stand, so I've got a lot of time between now and then.
