[HOW TO] Install Leaf Spring Lift Blocks on a 2015-2022 Chevy Colorado/GMC Canyon

Recently I installed a set of Bilstein 5100 leveling shocks on my 2019 GMC Canyon. I raised the front end 1.9". I found that I wanted a little bit of rake back on the truck, so I installed a pair of GM 1.25" lift blocks. This gave the truck the stance I was looking for.

That was easy enough to do. Was wondering what your measurements on the front wheel wells are. Would be curious to see exactly how level it sits. Also by lifting the rear does it affect the front end alignment ?

The truck was pretty much dead level before the blocks. I think the front was ~1/8-1/4" lower. Swapping the blocks out should not affect any alignment. Had to adjust my Bilstein coilovers yesterday tho, so I took the truck over to the alignment shop this afternoon for an alignment tomorrow though.

Great video when I look up part numbers on gm the blocks say they only fit zr2 so they do fit regular Colorado/canyon?

Got a video on testing for a coolant leak? 2015 chevy colorado

If you find one shoot it my way if you don’t mind! I got a 16 2wd with just under 160k miles on it and I gotta keep an eye on coolant levels cause it’s loosing it somewhere but can’t figure it out. I first thought I had blown a head gasket the first time I as I was about to change the oil and the overflow tank was empty but everything else was fine. Are you having similar issues?

How do you like the composite locking tile floor you have? I'm debating epoxy vs the tile. I'm worried about the epoxy flooring with my snowmobiles, the carbides and studs are going to mangle it up if I drive on it

Eh. I didn’t put it in. The previous owners of our house did. It is slippery when wet, and gets squished when I use my jacks and jacks stands to lift my vehicle. I’ve thought about removing it, I prefer Roxy floors. For you tho, with sleds, not sure what’s the best option for you.

How does the truck ride with the blocks and Bilstiens in back? I did the blocks and looking to upgrade the stock shocks

I feel like it actually rides better! Either block in back.

Mine rides so rough in the rear. I still have stock shocks. Do I need longer shocks.

@bradmalonedr1 shocks are probably worn from being overextended. Replace them with longer ones to accommodate the extra height.
