I HOOKED THE TWO WIRES TOGETHER AND THE LIGHTS WORK BUT WHEN I INSTALL THE NEW SWITCH WS467 AND TRY TO USE THE X10 MINI CONTROLL BOX THE 2 LIGHTS WILL NOT WORK BUT THE POOL LIGHT WILL TURN ON AND OFF WITH THE MINI BOX AND ALSO DIM COULD THE NWE SWITCH BE BAD

You may have to install a separate switch for the other lights

the slide switch on the bottom of the switch what is that for is it a lock of some sort

That switch is for the remote to talk to the switch. I believe if it's pushed to the right the remote will work. To the left is manual. (But then it could be opposite, but for sure it is for the remote/manual function). Lucy

I have lamp post lights near my pool and they will not come on with remote or if I push the button could the switch be bad

If you feel comfortable with electrical wires here's what I do to see if the switch is bad. FIRST TURN POWER OFF AT THE BREAKER. Remove the wires from the switch. Then take the (usually) black wire from the light and connect it to the wire coming from the breaker. THEN turn breaker back on. What you're doing is eliminating the switch (bypassing) to see if the lights work without it. If the lights turn on, then it is the switch. If not, check your light bulb.
