I had the same problem with my chevy 2013 Chevy Malibu. The replacement trim piece for just one door was around 180 bucks. I went and pulled a piece of trim at a junkyard for 3 bucks. So this is a reminder to people to check your local Pull Your Own Parts junkyards to at least save money on the part.

So crazy...I just got my Optima back for the same engine issue and decided "you know its worth fixing that trim and other little stuff now" and here you are. My 10 year old engine seized at 114K miles but they still replaced it.

Yeah our 2016 kia optima actually had an engine fault and we had to replace it. Ended up being recalled so kia took care of us and now we have lifetime warranty on it. Love kias fr

I just got mine today from the Kia dealership and it was $52. They wanted $25 2 ad the installment here. The only thing I wish you would have shown was taking the 2 in pieces off. I think overall it was a great video. The two end pieces that were left with the little clips, I guess I can take them out with a pair of needle-nose pliers. Thank you for your help...Greg

Unfortunately the missing pieces blew off while driving. A lot of Kias are missing them. Must be a manufacturing issue. The guy at the counter says he sells them all the time!

You shouldn’t have had to pay anything! I only paid my initial tow which cost $100 and they were going to reimburse me that but I never did the paperwork. You need to get your $488 back! But glad this helped ya!

Mostl likely yes! I’d be about 99% sure of it. Worst case scenario.... go to the dealer and ask to look at a molding. That will give you an idea of what your looking at!

Try going to dealership and see if they can tell you exactly the part and part #. If you can’t find a replacement online for cheaper in the parking lot…. Go back in and have them order it…. They’re install is crazy so you can definitely do yourself! Hope that helps!

Yup! Our engine locked at 101k. It had a recall and they covered all $10k to replace motor! Cost me $100 to tow it but never went to get reimbursed as I was ok with paying it! LoL.

I would think you’ll destroy them taking them off as they’re not really suppose to Be removed. Usually you’d have to replace them then. The adhesive tape is strong and the clips will probably break.
