Hi Rex, it was a very exhaustive and wonderful explanatory video. However I think the inclusion of the following explanation would be pertinent here: Download the OpenPGP signature for the Tails 4.3 USB ( tails.boum.org/torrents/files/tails-amd64-4.3.img.sig) image and save it to the same folder where you saved the image. Download the Tails signing key and import it into GnuPGP. ( tails.boum.org/tails-signing.key ) Using the Powershell from the destination folder: To import the Tails signing key into GnuPGP, open a terminal and navigate to the folder where you saved the Tails signing key. ( RIght click inside the folder by pressing SHIFT and then press "open Power shell window here") Execute command: gpg --import tails-signing.key

Kasha Corso, On most bios if you leave the USB option as your first bootable device it will always look for it. This makes it nice because if there is no USB in the slot it will simply boot from the hard drive. The only thing you have to be careful with is leaving a data flash drive in your USB port. This might cause your computer to hang on start up. No big deal though, just pull out the USB drive and reboot

I use Rufus and have had no trouble getting my USB to boot up. After a while my mouse sticks though and I have to turn the power off and restart since I can't shut down the power normally. The 1st Tails USB works fine and than I install TAILS on the other USB so I can use the Persistent Volume, Administrator Privileges and other areas. I think the TOR freezes up because there are more than 1 tab open, not sure but will try it. I enjoy using it, you can try Ubuntu or Linix Mint the same as TAILS but without the Anonymity.

Yes, using Tor will greatly increase your privacy and security. But if you’re trying to achieve anonymity, you should not be connecting from your home. This is just a ultimate ideal. You don’t have to be obsessed with it. I’m just talking about a person trying to achieve full anonymity. There’s no real harm using these tools from your home.

yes, get the ISO file on a bootable flash drive and then stick it in your computer and go to BIOS and boot from flash drive.

I rebooted with the usb drive already in there, was pressing the delete key and nothing happened it was just my normal screen and normal computer. What did I do wrong? How do you make it do what you did when you were pressing the delete key???

To verify the TAILS file, one must add an extension to one's browser. i see this as a fingerprint of sorts. You are not allowed to add an extension to a private window. This seems like giving yourself away - esp. since most browsers able to use such extensions are the big 2 (including Chrome/chromium). I skipped that process.

I'm sorry ever BIOS is different. But there should be a boot section somewhere. look for guidance at the bottom of the BIOS screen. They usually have navigation advice

Not at all. Actually It won't touch a single byte in your hard disk. Tails boots from the USB flashdrive directly to RAM. When you reboot and unplug Tails USB flashdrive you'll get to Windws as always. If you want to install a Linux based OS you can search about Ubuntu, Mint, Elementary or other distributions.
