Thanks guys. I am not in the US and i use a different suit but this really makes me life easier. I will hopefully go back on track next week after almost 2 years. In the meantime i got TA5 because i don't want to hurt for a week after a crash and i was going nuts over this process. It makes sense now. Thank you.

In theory you probably could, depending on the brand of vest/protector although it would be a little redundant.

Hey man thanks for this video, i find it crazy that no one has made this video for pairing a techair 5 with an alpinestar tech air compatible 1 piece suit, but your video was still very helpful for me as someone with a both! Random question and i know the info given has other variables but whats your weight and height and what size tech5 and suit size are you wearing? Thanks again!

Hi, is your suit snug fit or is it has a 4cm gap like Alpinestars recommended on non-alpinestars racing suits?

The extra space AStars recommends would be for a suit which is not necessarily intended to inflate with the air vest. Because most of our suits are custom fit to your measurements (which include the vest) and accordion panels are placed in all applicable areas to allow for full deployment, 4cm of extra space is not necessary. The AirHide accordion panels will stretch and the suit will expand that 4cm upon inflation. That being said, our off-rack sized AirHide suits do have slightly bigger torso dimensions than our Thor.1 suits which are not vest-compatible. This is mainly to allow the extra space for the vest to be worn on the body.

Do you have to go one size up for accommodating the tech air 5 vest?

Are you planning to go with an off the rack suit or Bison? If Bison, we would like you to measure with the vest on. If you don't have the vest (and can't borrow one), we can take the measurements without vest and add some dimension. If you're planning to go off-rack it's best to use a suit which is vest-prepared with the proper accordion stretch panels. Going up a size can cause fitment compromises in other critical areas such as your forearms and knees.

All you do is lay suit out with jacket inside.. get your legs in pull up get first and second arm in.. you won't be able to do it wearing the tech air 5 vest first.. trust me.. also does anyone know if their is a way of connecting the race cable from behind into the tech air so you can see the lights on the suit.. would be cool to use the suit lights with tech air 5.. considering cutting cable and attaching a connection so you get both lights

There is no way to connect LEDs to the TA 5 that we are aware of.

well hate to say it... it doesn't fit at all. The speed hump is screwing things up. Will have to use a jacket without one of those.

Kelly you can pull the hump foam out and trim it to better accommodate the Tech Air vest. It helps a lot.

@@BisonTrackGearYou definitely would have to do that. The back of the jacket isn't sitting right at all. Been looking for a combo of the tech air 5 and leathers. Don't often get to hot in them up here in western Canada.
