holy cow... this is a process. I might skip the snow blower attachment and just get a plow for my truck. Such a shame they couldnt come up with a better mounting method.

It might take 30 mins of your day. More work to drive around with a plow and waste gas.

@@brentbarger3632 Not really. A used S-10 pickup with a plow mounted is going for $1600 to $2400. Anyway, I bought that. Not worried about road worthiness since its sitting in the yard and not using gas. Its a true shame. I dont know why they havent added smaller versions of PTO for the front and rear. They would cost very little since you dont need a heavy duty PTO for House hold yard work. Probably would be a $500 add on once they develop it. And I dont think such a small one exists on these lawn tractors, so it would be JD specific.

I have a 44 inch unit for my x570 and getting the blower on isn't the bad part TBH. Getting the blower itself on is only a 30 minute job. The bad part is getting the freaking deck off. The damned tool less deck release pins get jammed in the ears of the deck and you need a dang slide hammer to get them out. I finally just took the release pins off the deck entirely and substituted some regular bolts with nylon nuts. While this requires me to have to get tools to install/remove my mower deck I can knock a bolt through with a hammer and punch vs struggle with those damned spring pins. I can have the deck off in 5 minutes vs fighting with the spring pins for 30 minutes. Re-installation of the deck used to be a similar story. Couldn't line up the holes with the spring pins being you couldn't see what was going on.

Tried installing mine yesterday, I cannot get the belt on the main drive. The tension pulley is so tight, even when I push it to the max, I still cannot get the belt on even with the bucket raised to the max, not sure what to do.

@@twenty1sportscards790 That spring is pretty tough to compress by hand. It would be nice if they had a 3/8 keyway or something on the idler arm you could get a ratchet onto to help pull it over. What I've always done is I've walked the belt on rotating the engine pulley and working the belt on by slipping it. I'm sure this is absolutely against all guidance in the manual, but the only way I've been able to get it on the last 6 years I've owned it. You can get your fingers pinched in there doing this way, but I haven't found a better way.

When I adjust my spring my pedal for raising the blower is all the way forward and stiff you come back (like it’s reversed) what am doing wrong? Note: I have the pedal locked back in the position it says when switching attachments. Can anyone help?

I have a X540 with a snow blower. My blades do not turn....the belt is turning all the necessary sprockets and my blades are secure with sheer pins. I was blowing a lot of snow during the last two weeks. Can you advise? Thank you.

I cant get anymore then 15 minutes of work before blowing a belt or having the belt come off the pulleys. I now have 40 minutes on the x350. Can someone please explain to me in great detail what is going on with this 10000$ unit?
