I really want to learn how to do this type of thing. I have almost no options for being able to work a job, due to an illness that effects my vocal cords, making it difficult to breathe. I’d be interested in learning this type of thing. If you have any advice on how to get started, I’d appreciate it.

Just tear shit apart. Find broken electronics and start desoldering parts and then resolder them back on. The stuff don't even have to work. You just want to learn to remove the parts and then know when you solder them back in that it doesn't pull out easily

is there any way I can get buy a dualsense with these things already installed? It would be nice to have a controller that doesn't stick drift.

I can preinstall them but eventually after a couple years the sticks will wear out like other parts. But then you can extent the lifespan with these for a while. If you want non stick drift controllers you can search for controllers that have magnetic potentiometers inside that have no drift.

Will this be available on Amazon?

I purchased a new joystick from Amazon and replaced it. However, it was slightly misaligned upwards from the center, so I used an adjustment board just like in this video to calibrate it. Despite this, when I tilt the joystick all the way in the game, the turning speed remains unchanged. Normally, there should be an acceleration that allows for quick turning when the joystick is pushed to its maximum. However, in my case, that doesn't seem to be happening. While the pad tester recognizes that I'm tilting it to the maximum, the game doesn't register it as such.

I would try replacing the sensors and see if that solves the issue, and clean with alcohol inside.

what is an acceptable 'error percentage' when testing circularity of ps4 or ps5 controllers? meaning what do they come like from factory? I have a factory ps4 controller that shows 7% and I have a modified battle beaver that shows 11% - the battle beaver controller has sporadic aim- it doesnt seem to track well- even with adjusted deadzones to account for minor stick drift- it's super frustrating but i'm learning about what other factors might impact how a controller 'feels'- any insight would be much appreciated- thanks!

A little late but the circularity has nothing to do with stickdrift. It‘s just the „range“ it reaches in all directions.

@@Flowkeyz appreciate the response- i've since learned what you just stated however it's still not clear to me what factors can play into a stick not feeling as good as another stick on the same exact controller. for example my stock ps4 controller feels much better than the handful of battlebeavier modified controllers that i've purchased and i just can't seem to figure out why- maybe just luck of the draw.
