Those bags look great on a classic bike. I didn't realize until reading some comments, that LONGRIDE is the name of a company that makes saddlebags. I found the website, and like what I see. My Honda CRF250L has waterproof roll bags, but my fair weather bike, Moto Guzzi V7ii, needs something a bit retro, and I like the style I see. EDIT: now I read the full text in the description! I see the link there.

I'm wondering how well these would fit on a 1978 Ducati 900SD... It *looks* like they sit high enough to avoid resting on the mufflers, but I may have to just try it. I'll have to look at the return policy on your website just in case 😝

I know I’m late to the game but, I’m looking for saddlebags for my 2017 street cup.
@the.longride2 жыл бұрын
Never too late ;) A good way to go about it for the Street Cup is to install our Triumph classics spacers, and then mount saddlebags with your favourite mounting system. Here's an overview here: longride.com/pages/best-saddlebag-system-cafe-racer-classic-motorcycle

My rear indicators are in the same position as this bike but the bags seem to cover the indicators???
@the.longride Жыл бұрын
Yes, the purpose of this video is only to show how to mount the saddlebag in this throw-over fashion - however if your indicators are positioned this way, and thus covered by saddlebags, you will need to install the brackets / spacers to support the bags, to keep them away from the indicators - should you decide to keep the indicators there of course.

Is it safe that way? Won't the bags be rubbing against the suspension?
@the.longride3 жыл бұрын
Hi! It does rest against the suspension, so it's not the most ideal setup as it's a moving part, but the choice is very limited for vintage / classic / or custom motorcycles, and we've had customers travelling hundreds of miles on that method with no issues. It is worth checking the saddlebags periodically however, to make sure the suspension is not abrasive on the bag.
@Mikethebike7213 жыл бұрын
Nice bags but resting on the suspension is a definite no for me.
@the.longride3 жыл бұрын
@@Mikethebike721 well that's only the best option when you have no other choice, which is the case with vintage bikes. Otherwise we advocate the use of saddlebag holders, for which our bags are predominantly designed for. We keep working on developing more saddlebag holders, we just can't cover the vintage bikes.

This seems like a custom complacted bag, you could have used a more common one?
@the.longride Жыл бұрын
Hi! These are the bags that we manufacture, so in a sense, this is a "how to setup the Longride bags as throw-overs", so you are correct in the way that it won't apply to any common bag.

Hi there, the link seems to be working currently. Yes you can, if you fit side rails on your XSR700 so you can support the saddlebags.

The video refers not only to the simple concept but to our specific products as well. It illustrates what our belts are for, how to attach the bags together and most importantly, it's nice to see that before making the purchase.
