Our engineers came up with an easy to install design that remains captive during wheel removal while also integrating spools to the CNC machined adjusters. That's what we call multi-problem solving! The captive design completely eliminates the frustration caused by the stock units falling out or shifting during maintenance while the spools add a much-needed feature that enables the ability to safely lift and secure the rear of your Grom using a rear paddock stand. The CNC machined axle blocks fit within the swingarm and have precision engraved notches to ensure correct axle installation and adjustment. The backplate adjustment bolt provides quick longitudinal axle block movement so you don't have to mess with having two wrenches and a prayer that things don't shift on you. Every turn of the adjustment bolt results in 1mm of travel to enable precise and easy to measure adjustments. Every component is CNC machined from 6061 aluminum alloy and features a gorgeous black anodized finish to add some stealthy style and increased durability.

Just finished installing. I don't own a bike stand, and live with 4 women. That was fun... I was definitely the black, and white infomercial. Probably would've been very entertaining for onlookers. Pretty slick all in all though.

Hi Bart. Big fan of your stuff. Started using TST parts back in 2015 when I got my first bike (Yamaha R3). One tiny tip though, maybe dumb down the videos just a tad bit more 🤣 some of us don’t have brains skilled enough to be naturally good with our hands, so projects like this can be daunting. I’m good at breaking shit. Just a thought. Take care 🤟🏻

@@TSTindustries what got me a little bit was around 6:02 where you began matching the new and older parts together? To add chain slack. And also aligning the axle with those lines and how to move that back and forth. I’ve never adjusted a chain before, I can change oil but that’s about it 😂 I need this part for the spools. Again, it’s just the slow folks like myself, most I’m sure will be able to follow your steps just fine. Thanks for your reply. I just did the taillight you guys sell and it looks way better.

Is there a torque number for the hex bolts that hold the adjuster captive in the swing arm? In the video you just said to expand the end cap but didn’t give the torque number?
@TSTindustries
@TSTindustries Жыл бұрын
We have not specified a torque for that fastener because of multiple variables that would affect the actual clamping function and may not yield repeatable results following just a torque value. The reverse clamp mechanism engaged by the fastener you are describing has to exert enough force against the inside of the swingarm to couteract the force generated by adjusting the rear wheel forward while the rear axle is loose enough fro chain adjustment. We have not had any reports of customers having difficulty finding the appropriate amount of tightness just using their judgment.

Hi, these adjusters still require you to loosen the axle nut before adjustment is possible, correct? (Dumb question I know)
@TSTindustries
@TSTindustries 2 жыл бұрын
Yes, the axle nut does need to come loose for adjustment to be possible. Then has to be tightened after adjustment is complete.

I don't know exactly what you mean by axle spacers. Are you asking about our axle sliders? If so then yes, we sell them. We actually are the manufacturer of those parts, and many more. Check us out at TSTindustries.com . All of our parts are sold there and we have instructional videos for the vast majority of our parts. -BR

Need some of these for the Z125.
@TSTindustries
@TSTindustries 2 жыл бұрын
People have been bending my ear about this for a long time now. I just don't think there is that much z125 demand out there. That bike never took off like the Grom. The margins we run on these parts are tight because we want the parts to be appealing to owners of bikes that have a 3500 dollar sticker price. The design and manufacture, and even the project management is a decently hefty cost to us as well. So if the returns on investment are dismal then we are unlikely to move on a project.

@@TSTindustries definitely makes sense. The chain adjusters on the Z are horrible. I know a few companies made some, but definitely not as nice as something that comes from you guys.

Love the parts, just thought the right side slider was comical w the Yoshi exhaust sticking out past the slider.
@TSTindustries
@TSTindustries 2 жыл бұрын
We can't do much about exhausts hanging out there but I can tell you that the first impact being taken by the slider helps save many things including lessening the damage to the exhaust. The slider actually creates another area of contact after the bike is fully down and sliding, resulting in the entire force load spreading across all areas that are in contact with the surface. Pressure is force divided by area of contact. The force is not controlled by us. It is the impact and then the mass of the bike. But the more area we have in contact with the surface the less the pressure, and therefore the right side slider still helps a bunch to minimize the damage sustained.
