I put white reflective tape on the corners of the trailer and on the edge of the fenders. You might want to tip the trailer up enough to get a layer or oil or some protectant on the bottom side of the wood floor. Also, put a layer of rubber or carpet in the bottom of the tool box so things aren't rattling around or chipping the paint. I put on the 12,000# harbor frieght winch. I welded up a stand for it that bolts to the front so the cable isn't rubbing on anything.

Did you get the cable or synthetic winch, I was looking at them and I can get the 12000 lb one with the cable and convert it to synthetic for about $100 less than the one that is already synthetic. It also come with a wireless remote and has a better waterproof rating though, the 599 price tag has me waiting for a sale is all..lol. Amazon has a few that rate the same as that one at harbor freight for quite a bit less.. all have decent ratings but it hard to trust online ratings.. thanks for the advise and ideas!!

I would definitely do overkill and brace your frame to handle it if needed. I've seen too many videos showing people getting maimed or killed by a cable breaking.
