Excellent tips on how to introduce yourself virtually. Body language and enthusiasm are so important for the virtual setting since, as you mentioned, you won’t be seeing these people in the hallway to get to know them better. It’s great to come across as someone with a joy for the job. A follow up email is also a brilliant idea to solidify the connection.

@AdrianaGirdler3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching. Regarding your question, it is difficult for me to answer because I don't know what the mannerism is. That being said, if its something that you feel may offend people and you don't have control over it, doesn't hurt to bring peoples attention to it so they know its not directed to them. Cheers!

Thanks for sharing Adriana. I am starting a new job soon in a new company and was just wondering about the "follow up" part. What if you're introducing yourself to a big team? like lets say over 200+ people? any tips on how to approach this? My new role requires me to work with and across multiple different teams in the organization and not just one team in particular hence why I am asking for your advice. Thanks for your help.
@AdrianaGirdler3 жыл бұрын
Congratulations on your new job! With a group this big you can always follow up with an email. You can then spend time with each individual team in say a teams meeting to get acquainted. Hope this helps. Wishing you the best of luck. Cheers!

It isn’t rocket science guys. Just give a basic background about yourself (name, what you did at your prior employer, city or town you’re from and what you aspire to accomplish with the team) thats all. I disagree with her on practicing. No need to practice especially if your virtual team is small.
@AdrianaGirdler3 жыл бұрын
Hi Mauricio...absolutely correct...this is not rocket science BUT can be challenging for a lot of people. Regarding practicing your introduction, it will be up to every individual to choose whether or not they want to practice their intro or not. I find if people lack confidence then practicing can help. Thanks for watching. Cheers!
