If there's one thing I've learned after watching these videos, is that you can use your hands and forearms as units of measure
@lemonypasta
@lemonypasta 3 жыл бұрын
In my country (Indonesia) we use it in daily life 😅. "Tulapia fish the size of adult palm", "Sejengkal (the length between the tip of your thumb and pinky when you spread your fingers) galangal", "One hasta (the length between the tip of your fingers and your elbow) of fabrics". It's not a standard use. Just some traditional measuring techniques.

Ha! I've had this exact sort of enthusiastic response to this channel before. Every recipe I've tried out has been fantastic, with some really surprising ones that looked deceptively simple but were powerhouses of unexpected flavour. Please pop back here and let us all know if you triumphed with this one and if your neighbours cried with envy when they smelled the vapours coming out of your window ;)

Here’s a tip for the chunjang (black bean paste). Coat your measuring spoon with oil before scooping so it slides off easily, otherwise it will get messy! This trick also works with gochujang (red pepper paste)
