That's helpful feedback and I appreciate you leaving a comment! Yes, it's a stylistic preference and some like to join rounds for even rounds, and others like working in a continuous spiral for a seamless look! Happy that this video helped you decide on a technique! :)

Sakurakuro aww thanks!! Hope you’ll have lots of fun crocheting my designs! I definitely enjoyed the hooded timber wolf scarf because it works up quickly with the furry yarn and big hook, plus it’s so warm to wear!!

Hello, love the video, many thanks but I do have a question, if a pattern says I have to join the rounds can I work continuous rounds instead, and if I do do I have to change anything?
@SweetSofties2 жыл бұрын
You can choose to work in continuous rounds; simply ignore the beginning "ch 1" and the "join with a sl st" at the end! :)

Hello! At which step do you introduce the new colour? The slip stitch or the ch1? Thank you :)
@SweetSofties2 жыл бұрын
Hi! When you're going to YO for the slip stitch to join, switch to the new color and then pull that new color through for finishing the sl st. Then, proceed with the ch 1 and sc around. Hope this helps!

Can you do continuous rounds but a new round for only color changes?

Yes, you may do continuous rounds instead! It's a style preference, so it's really up to you!

Hey! I’m trying to do the sl st and chain at the end of the round and I’m starting back in the same stitch I slip stitched in, but I feel like there are added stitches?
@SweetSofties Жыл бұрын
Hi, after you make a ch, you will insert the first sc into the same st you chained from. When you reach the end of the round (counting is important), sl st into the first sc... NOT the chain. Then, make another chain and continue the next round by inserting your first sc into the same st as where you chained from. Hope this helps!

@@SweetSoftiesyou should’ve mentioned this in the video because this is the number one thing that was confusing me and why i looked up this video in the first place… only one pattern specified to do your next stitch in the first stitch you chained from and i was very confused why i was dropping stitches by slipping and chaining one. i wasn’t crocheting into that one again.

not your patterns, just all patterns i’ve read besides one so far. they just assume you know but they’re beginner patterns so not very nice

Hi! If you're referring to how I do my dolls' arms, such as with the Baby Bean Doll (www.sweetsofties.com/2019/09/baby-bean-doll.html), I use the i-cord method. I have a video tutorial of the i-cord here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/oXzFppZsa8yYbbs

@@mariana336 Hi, I'm not sure what you mean. I'm not trying to use an accent -- I speak with a pretty typical American accent, which is where I'm from. My tone of voice is just how I speak -- I tend to have intonation rather than be monotone, because I'm actually a speech therapist by day. Sorry you feel this way about how I talk.
