Got renewed love to pick back up my love for playing basketball after shooting inside a gym Friday. But wait :-) I’m 55 and 5’11.” I could jump in high school. Jumping came natural and was easy. That’s been a long time ago. Now, I want to jump again. Found you guys yesterday. Not looking for overnight results. I’m a runner, so I know that I can handle the up and down the court. Jumping remains to be seen. Excited about the future. What’s the oldest guy you all have seen success with?

I wanted to ask you advice to when i should workout because i play basketball with my team 4 times a week( monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday) for 1 hour and half/2 hours. When i should workout in your opinion?

Can you really improve your vertical without weight squat and deadlift? I mean i am 5'6 and i am doing plyometric training and i can only touch the backboard. You think i am not training enough or these two exercises i mentioned before are indispensable?
