How do you all enjoy your fits? I think they're ugly on the outside but they're so easy to drive and they can whip around corners like it's nobodies business. I really want to customize one to be very fast, responsive, and mean.

My dad owns a fit and I drive it a lot. Would absolutely love to have a new motor in it. Of course though we got the engine warranty so if it does blow they probably will swap it with the exact same motor... I can dream though

Hi Kev, big fan of the channel and the details that you went into as far as the swap goes. Really gave me some insight on what needed to be done. Now I have a honda brio that I'm keen on doing the K-swap on ive seen alot of it being done in Thailand however cant seem to find any details on what needed to be done and what needed to be changed. Do you perhaps have any knowledge on K-swapped honda brios and what needed to be done and changed. They are basically the same as the honda fit/jazz

Other then the si lsd 6 speed transmission are there any other trans options I can use on k 24 tsx 08 ?. It would be going into a 07 fit

@@danielpelaez9978 any manual transmission from a k20 works. Can’t use accord or tsx transmission. Also can’t use the civic si transmission that has a k24. O my k20 transmissions work with the mount kit.

Hello! I have a question and the internet doesn’t have the answer! I have a 2010 fit sport and I need to remove the 02 sensors. The downstream one I have unscrewed, but cannot find the electrical connector half. One forum said under center console but i took it out and nothing was there.

It is a how to video for people with previous Honda experience. This swap is not a for a new or first time Honda hobbyist. It definitely can be done by anyone but it may take a lot longer to complete

I know this is a very silly and basic question, but before i even attempt this i am trying to get a rough parts list to gauge pricing. Im considering either the acura engine or the k24z3 from an accord (not going be turboing it anyhow). You mentioned the engine and the transmission from a civic in other comments, are there any other bigger budget components you need to make it work? Very new to engine swapping 😅

How long did it take to remove the engine? Planning on replacing my dying L15 on GD3 with a lower km engine. Do you think it's possible to do with some mechanical knowledge, but first time swapping engines? Thanks!

If your just swapping in a newer engine that’s the same. It shouldn’t be to bad. Being your first time swapping I’d give myself a weekend to complete it.

Couple quick questions. If I want to k swap a fit and want a manual. It's best to start off with a manual fit? Something about the underbody frame is different than auto? Also which transmission did you use? Can I use the RSX 6 speed?

There is something different between the auto and manual fits. You can use the RSX transmission I used the civic si transmission it’s the same as the RSX 6 speed but has factory LSD

The engine will fit for sure. The transmission I’m not sure will fit. They are a lot bigger than a manual transmission. Also mounts would have to be custom made as there is only an option for manual trans at this time.

It’s really the same idea Not much different If your going with the same engine again you may be able to skip a few steps

It was a stick from the start. The automatic has a different mount setup and there is no kit available at this time.

It came from an 05 tsx and then I added the 07-08 camshafts/intake manifold/Throttle body and a 50degree camgear

So i'm kinda new to the Honda fit community and new to cars in general. I have a Base model 2007 Honda Fit (Standard Transmission) and i'd really like to K - Swap it in the future, is that possible for the base model? What mods would i need before that?

Yea you can definitely swap a base model. The sport model just has a few different things like rear spoiler, front bumper lip, side skirts. And Aluminum wheels. Other than that no real difference as far as the rest of the car

You can swap a GE8. But it requires a different mount kit from hasport and there is a different procedure on the engine bay and wiring. I’d love to get a GE next and do another Swap

@@abepenner4714 um there's some info on the fit/jazz forum. I'm just going to attempt and b16b swap pretty soon when I have time . I found a transmission and engine on the JDM engine Depot website but I'm still doing research before I purchase it. I just have no idea if the transmission will fit without heavy fabrication. I'm trying go the path of least resistance. There's a lot of k swapped fits here on KZbin. Happy new year 🎉 a k series is out of my budget at the moment.

yijit ng I’m using a tsx engine and wiring, harness, ecu You can use other k series engines. But the fit and tsx wiring match up the best. So if you use a diff engine you may still have to use the tsx ecu as a base to tune off of that

rodrigof12 no the transmission is from an 06-11 civic si. The accord and tsx manual transmissions use a different mount. Witch is not offered yet from hasport. So you can use any k20 transmission but no k24 transmissions

It’s very similar but with 07-08 Honda fits the engine mounts are different. So you’d have to convert the mount system in the car to manual. Wiring would be another thing I’m unsure about
