Love the cheat sheet, such a great resource for all pool owners.

Do you have a video on the plumbing? Where should the handle be in the clear position or more in the skimmer position? Plus, I have a water feature.

May I please ask if you have any advice for cold plunge tanks. I have a 120 gallon chest freezer that I keep at 38 F and wish to add ozone water treatment. We use it about 10 minutes a day.

We got an above ground pool last summer (3500 gallons). We never could get the water numbers right. Our hardness and alkalinity was always very high. The pool store told us to put 3 chlorine tablets in the skimmer and 1-3 in the skimmer every week. But it never worked. We are getting ready to open the pool this week. Any tips?
@SwimUniversity7 ай бұрын
Sounds like you might have hard water. Try using a filter on your hose when you fill it. 3-inch chlorine tablets are way too powerful for only 3500 gallons. Switch to 1-inch tablets, granules, or liquid chlorine.

@@SwimUniversity yea that's exactly what I found out by watching your videos as far as the tablet size goes. We had a pool water company bring that water to fill it. But all our water here is hard. We just pulled the cover off and it's thick and green so he's going to just drain it

I have an inground pool and have carbon ants trying to come through the bottom. They bore tiny holes and already fixed 13 holes. What could be the solution on how to get rid of the ants thanks.
@SwimUniversity7 ай бұрын
Without moving the pool, have you tried any ant bait around the pool perimeter? Or borax?

I downloaded the cheat sheet about a year ago and I no longer have it. Is it possible to get another one? I've tried downloading it a couple of times but it doesn't download and I figured it's because I downloaded it once before.

Don’t think backwashing more often is better, it’s not. A dirty filter traps smaller and smaller particles. Backwash only when necessary.
@SwimUniversity6 ай бұрын
Yup! Agreed. Only if the pressure gets high or the jet flow is low.
@ahmadaddurobi5 ай бұрын
And if the pressure never goes down and the flow is great for 2 straight months. Do I backwash anyway?
