How to keep your Race Car Cool - With Colonel Red Racing

In this clip from Episode #132 of the Flatirons Syndicate Podcast, we talk with James Hudson of Colonel Red Racing about cooling.
When you are just driving your car you would have to work very hard to get any of your cars systems up to their limits. But when you go on track, it is fairly easy to get your cooling system, or brakes up to their limit, or beyond.
In endurance racing, you are basically holding your car in a state that tests every system in the car, so you have to do everything you can to increase the capacity of the cooling system, etc so that you can continue to drive without overheating, etc.
There are some great tips in this podcast about keeping your car cool, so we wanted to make sure pulled out this clip to feature them.

Very interested in your point regarding the negative pressure created by the hood scoop when going to a FMIC. Can you have an episode with more details about the options available besides blocking off the factory hood scoop and what to do if you don’t have the ability to switch to an aftermarket hood with vents near the front as mentioned. Love your channel

We talk about this a fair amount in this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/kILOhqh3adJsnsksi=UdQ0f7fMK8EH5ySV We now run a full extraction hood, but if you don't want to switch away from the factory hood, some companies make extraction vents that fit in place of the factory hood scoop. There are definitely some options out there to help keep your cooling system working properly with a FMIC. Hope that helps and Stay Tuned!

This is excellent info! Did you only duct between front mount and radiator due to AC condenser being removed? Or also from bumper to front mount as well?
