What Is Islam? Islam is not just another religion. It is the same message preached by Moses, Jesus and Abraham. Islam literally means ‘submission to God’ and it teaches us to have a direct relationship with God. It reminds us that since God created us, no one should be worshipped except God alone. It also teaches that God is nothing like a human being or like anything that we can imagine. The concept of God is summarized in the Quran as: { “Say, He is God, the One. God, the Absolute. He does not give birth, nor was He born, and there is nothing like Him.”} (Quran 112:1-4) Becoming a Muslim is not turning your back to Jesus. Rather it’s going back to the original teachings of Jesus and obeying him

Thanks for another great video. I'm a beginner who's trying to figure out jumps. I think you're skimming over one key detail though: As you lean upwind right before sending the kite to 12 oclock, you sheet all the way out to create more room to pull the bar in for the boost. (As seen at 1:05 and 1:25)

This is without a doubt the most concise video on jumping!!! I have been jumping for a month now but my consistency has been lacking. Some good & clean and others poor & piddly. I see now that it is most likely my timing and also that I am not holding my upwind edge enough. Seeing the jump from the overhead perspective with the bar movements really helps me understand the mechanics! Very grateful for this tutorial!!! 😘

Online, you guys by far have the most detailed oriented content for kitesurfing, I have been following each and every video you posted from being an absolute beginners to now being able to kite freely with the ability to perform some of the tricks with huge appreciation to your videos. the fact that you separate each part of the movement to the bar, board, kite, body position is just a pleasure to watch and to educate my self. Before my kite sessions, I love to watch and rewind some of your videos to get my focus on it and it definitely helps to sharpen my skills. Thank you guys, I hope to keep getting better and you are a great part of it, please keep up the great content!

Best instructional Video for jumping helped me out a ton. I was pulling in on bar too early wasn't waiting for kite to reach twelve and it was always pulling me off my edge which was frustrating me. Long lower jumps is all I could achieve until I watched this vid thanks. Now sending it fast and flying high.

Very interesting! I was waiting this video! but a doubt remain, what about the role of the Pop? after edging I need to Pop or only edging is enough? Is Pop a monoeuvre only for freestyle jumps with kite fixed at 45° or it's necessary also for high jumps taking the kite at zenith like in this video? Thank you for all your video again!
@kitesurfcollege
@kitesurfcollege 6 жыл бұрын
Good question. Edging alone is enough for an okay jump. If you're new to jumping then concentrate mainly on the kite, and just keep your normal edge. That's usually enough to think about at first ... and thinking about the pop will just distract you. Once you are finding jumps easy, then try to do a strong pop at the same moment you pull in the bar. Popping as you pull in the bar will increase the height of your jump. Because popping makes a big difference, I will talk about it in detail in Part 2 of the jumping tutorial, and I'm making a separate video on popping alonge (with the kite in fixed position).

Great video. Thanks. Shouldn't you be slightly go downwind just for a second before you edge hard, pop and jump? I can see this movement in the scene for higher jumps, but this movement is not explained in the video. Or shouldn't it be done?
@kitesurfcollege
@kitesurfcollege 5 жыл бұрын
Hello gwwo. It depends on your level. If you're first trying jumps, there is an overload of things to do. So if you're just getting started with jumps, you will get best results by simply edging firmly upwind (as you normally do when riding upwind) then you are free to concentrate on the kite and less likely to make mistakes. As you gain experience, and the kite control becomes second nature, then I would advise to bring in your pop skills, which does include bearing off crosswind to pick up speed, and then craving harder and harder upwind until launch.

Nice video, all i'd say isn't quite right is when you say "about to land redirect the kite" as I think it's better to redirect as you just pass the maximum height and start to drop. On a big foil (15-18m Chrono3) I redirect a second or 2 before I've even reached maximum height, or I'll pendulum. In fact what you're saying doesn't match the video. You're saying you only move the kite from 12 just before you touch down, but reading this riders hand position, just before he touches down he's already steering the kite back up :)

there's a small piece of information that I could note after watching your video (again....) carefully. Right before you raise the kite to twelve, you sheet out the bar (1:27 or 2:45)... I suppose you do this to allow for the kite raise faster and vertically while gaining more room for the sheet in movement to take-off, right?! Another question is regarding the power adjust in the bar. On my first attempts, it seems the kite didn't had enough power to make me take-off the water...
@kitesurfcollege
@kitesurfcollege 4 жыл бұрын
Hello Renato. Good analysis. Sheeting out as the kite climbs towards 12 helps the kite climb faster, it also means you can keep your edge as the kite heads deeper in the window - in fact, you can even turn further upwind and create a greater apparent wind with the bar out. It's unlikely that the trim (power adjustment) would affect your jump that much - unless there's something very wrong with your line lengths. Checking lines are equal vid: kzbin.info/www/bejne/f3KYi2yqqMmFbas Trimming your kite vid: kzbin.info/www/bejne/hqTQiqRqlNanq7c

Awesome video and good explaination as always! Do you think when jumping higher a heli loop would be better then redirecting the kite? I crash quite allot(mostly when riding goofy since im regulair) and I actually landed some nice high jumps when doing an heli loop instead of redirecting the kite which felt quite good.
@kitesurfcollege
@kitesurfcollege 6 жыл бұрын
You're exactly right. This is one of the main topics covered in the second part, Jumping Higher. Since when you jump higher, the kite has much longer to fly upwind of you, and ends up further from the power zone, so when you land your normal re-direct doesn't do much. With a large jump, you need to be much firmer with the re-direct to bring the kite in front of you. So much firmer that the kite almost loops anyway. In fact doing a fast late loop works well to give you a soft landing. Just make sure to not be too high when you start the loop, and commit to it, and try to make the loop fast.
@Ruffneck058
@Ruffneck058 6 жыл бұрын
Again thanks for the reply. I was so surprised when doing a heliloop when landing that the power was really low since you already ride downwind. I did some downloop transistion before and felt the power of loops so was thinking the kite might pull me off my board or worse....! Can't wait for part 2 to get some more insight on higher jump/heli loops!

Do you guys look to the kite while steering the kite to 12' when you jump, and pop up? Or do you look at the lines while you steer, or just to the front whithout look to the kite?
@kitesurfcollege
@kitesurfcollege 3 жыл бұрын
Hello Leonardo. For you first, very small jumps, you want to watch the kite quite closely, since mistakes with the kite are the most likely to cause problems or injuries. It won't be long until you can feel what the kite is doing and hardly need to watch the kite. Then you will be able to watch the water more and improve your landings.

when I try to jump, my body starts rolling backward or forward... how can I fix it? it's not easy to coordinate both movements (popping and moving the kite at the same time). Any tips? Tanks!!!
@kitesurfcollege
@kitesurfcollege 6 жыл бұрын
Hello Carlos. It could be that you're not edging upwind enough as you take off. If you edge upwind, then the downwind pull of the kite will naturally keep you facing forward. Another possible cause, is that many people tuck up their bodies in the air - like they're doing a sit up or crunch. If you tuck in, any rotation will speed up. Better to let your legs relax and hang behind you as you take off - this should stop most rotations. Finally, I would say practice lots of small jumps until you are not having this problem.

Just before he jumps he pushes the bar all the way out then immediately pulls it in. Does pushing the bar out stop the kite at 12 o'clock?
@kitesurfcollege
@kitesurfcollege 6 жыл бұрын
Hello David. As you steer the kite up to 12 to jump, this generate power. If the bar is in as the kite climbs towards 12, then you can easily get dragged from your edge before takeoff. So if you feel the power kicking in early (before the kite hits 12), then pushing the bar out will help keep your edge - then when you pull in the bar, you should be a clean takeoff.

i still cannot find the reason why wouldnt you jump while your kite is in mid or even high power zones? wouldnt it result in much higher or atleast longer jumps?
@kitesurfcollege
@kitesurfcollege 4 жыл бұрын
Hello Marko. You will find your answer between 1:49 and 2:38. When the kiter goes for the bigger jump at the end, the kite is steered up more firmly, and the kite naturally turns a bit deeper into the power. You can start by steering up slowly when learning, and then as you build experience, steer up more quickly and your kite will pull much harder. However, edging is more important to master before you start steering the kite up rapidly. This is because, if you ride downwind as the kite climbs, your kite's apparent wind is reduced and you won't make use of the power anyway.

Blades were my first kites. If you can fly a blade, you're in for a pleasant surprise when you get a modern LEI/depower kite. If you want a kite just for jumping/gliding then a rebel type kite is great, or for an easier to use & relaunch version there's the evo shape tailored for your average user. If you want to unhook a lot, then there's the dice, or if you mainly want to surf then the Neo. I would recommend Duotone strongly, or one of the 3/4 most established brands. Be wary of the new or smaller brands at the moment. Most people who choose them are happy at first but eventually disappointed - the kite's let them down (failing earlier than expected), and then when you need spare parts to get back on the water they are hard (or impossible) to come by.

@@purplefurture6960 25 to 35 kmh is pretty much perfect. Modern kites are very responsive in those wind speeds. At 85kg you'd probably want a 10 and 15m2 quiver for light to medium winds, or if you get a 3 kite quiver maybe a 9, 12 and 15m2

Hello Ediz, this one was filmed in Aruba. Aruba has great wind, about 300 days per year.

You missed a huge step that you do in every jump, you sheet out fully before you pull it in. You don't say thag anywhere but you do it in every clip

The subtitles position is on bad position, it doesn't help to see where's the rider. To see the kiter is crucial to understand the trick 🙄
