How to Knit the Stockinette / Stocking Stitch with Wool and the Gang

So when it tells me to knit 22 rows in stocking, is that 22 stitches and purls? Or is it 11 stitches, 11 purls?

I m making a sweater with stockinette stitch. ...i m making it on straight needles... I have made the front and back panels....but the sides are curling in ....just like in the tutorial u are showing...tell me how to mangage tbis problem..since its becoming difficult for me to sew the sides

You need to purl the edges of the sweater when knitting, so it prevents it from curling.
