How to launch a Bass boat alone

Here's a video I put together to show how I self launch my 20' Nitro Z20 Bass Boat when fishing without a partner. Hope it helps for those unfamiliar with launching alone.

Man.thats a great way to launch.im a new bass boat owner & my fishin buddy is 7 years old.i was launching in the river the other day & was nervous & didnt realy know what i was gonna do.i backed it halfway down tied a rope to it & was shoving & got wet it was 48° outside.boat was swaying all over the dam ramp.it was a mess.i dont know why i panicd like that but i did.i will no longer be doing that.i will simply start my motor & back off the trailor.thanks.simple things in life just need to be reminded every now & then.thanks.

What lift handle do you have on that trolling motor? I have the same trolling motor on my Ranger and need a handle. I launch by myself as well but i have to back down in the water real far so the bow doesn't drop down, letting the overhang of that trolling motor hit the roller.

Are those aftermarket trailer guide ons? My 21' Z19 doesn't have them and I've hear of a lot of guys tearing up the hull by landing on top of the fenders of the newer Nitro trailers. Thanks! 👍🏼

What is the brand of the guide post? The post before the fenders and after the fenders to help guid the boat on straight where can I find them thabks

Nice boat, but a lot of things you should not do when solo unloading a boat. You also knocked the front and trolling motor mount.

That step on the trailer with the handle sure looks great. Been looking for something like that and any info on it as some I have seen look too big and this one looks great.

This one is stock with the Nitro trailer.

51E I saw tuur video for it, what is the distance of the rope to dock limitation? Obviously would be difficult to use on a busy launch ramp, but a very cool Idea. Thanks.

JFI - Thanks for the kudos. The rope goes to 80 feet. Below is a video I shot at our local Monday Night bass tournament. Was the step and pole an after market add-on? If so, where do you get one?

John Murphy that’s from the factory. All new Nitro trailers have them but I think you can find them online, they just bolt and shackle on.

Came with the boat from the factory. But there are a lot of aftermarket step availible now.

No safety chain? you almost took out your trolling motor on the roller when it dropped . I like to undo the winch strap but keep the safety chain on, then backup till it boat free floats off the trailer and tugs the chain.

Ranger Bill, safety chain was on and the boat was floating. I think the perspective of the camera made it look like it was coming down close to my trolling motor, but it’s very far away. This is a very long flat ramp, so you can’t go too deep, just till it floats. Unless you want to go walk through the water and get your feet wet or have a buddy back you in.

I just tie a bowline to the trailer and let it float off. It's great fun on the river watching people get freaked out as my kids calmly float away until the rope catches.
