I offer a tip: focus on the rhythm of each letter; avoid thinking about the actual number of dits and dahs. For example, do not think of “Q” as two dahs then one dit and then a dah- learn to recognize the rhythm. This will make it easier to hear and recognize full words.

Dear VU3OOS! As you have a call sign, I assume, that you are familiar with CW, and therefore know, that to obtain the proficiency to actually communicate in CW needs months of learning and training. I agree with you, that within a week or so, one could be able to recognize the single characters as given in low speed in your video. But definitely not a text, even at that low speed. By the way: The mnemonics in your video with the latin characters and the dits and dahs in between are very nice! I haven't seen this before. So "learnig morse code within a week" would be an appropriate title, when that means, that you can identify single characters. Like a little schoolboy can identify the characters in his first book. But "in 10 minutes" is misleading, and can be easily mistaken as a clickbait. I think, you meant, that within that time one can learn to learn morse code at that basic level. However, I liked your video very much. It is very informative for newcomers and encourages to dive deeper into that matter. ... - -.-- --... ...--

I took my licence with VU2 call sign in mid eighties & quit the hobbie a long time back! Didn't even bother to renew my licence as now a days with the advent of internet, even cell phone coverage via satellite etc, amateur radio is dead! It's already dead in United States & Europe! Another thing is it's an expensive hobby & it's ridiculous waste of time & resources to going in for the bother of taking it as a hobby or licence for the same.😀
