Hello Kiko, I got to see most of your recent lives. A tropical storm took our power for a few days, so I missed number 2 altogether, lol. What I saw was great. Practical , no nonsense, and you do a great job of taking the scariness out of it. I think you have a really good thing going with a good vibe to it as well.

Incredible lesson I was quite amazed that in modern fusion series you start from teaching to find A minor and A major triad over all strings I benefited a lot from that one also the way you show there how to find Lydian mode over all strings playing the root on different strings is just fantastic-and now I have this lesson it all comes together like different pieces of puzzle !

After I started approaching the guitar and music in general from a chord perspective and not from the scales my understanding and playing improved. Chords come first, and the scales are build around them. When soloing over a given chord you have to focus on the main notes (root, 3rd, 5th and any important variation) the rest of the notes are almost like passing notes.

The way you teach vibes with the way I learn. Grateful man. Really. I hear and see what you're saying. Thanks Kiko. Also. I think I tend to instinctively go for the right sounding note improv, thus the scale, but my playing lacked direction, purpose, and even if the intonation sounds sick or a sweet pinch, it's awful in the wrong context. Looking back on my life I took that approach in a lot of things. That's why I didn't play for 20 years.... I want to understand it all now, and for me the destination is the journey... again thanks
