Hey, how has this plate relocator been holding up? Any issues if you bring it to a car wash as in it moves or been pulled off? Also do you think there is enough length from the screws if i was to put the license plate in the front bumper? Thanks

What’s SUP! Thank you for your questions. Since the release of this video, I really have not removed the plate at all. It is very sturdy when mounted properly. I mostly hand wash my car so hard to say what would happen in a car wash. The screws are fairly long but not sure about the mounting on the front bumper. Thanks for the video! I can confirm this works on 2020 hatchback also. No vibration or noise at highway speeds so far. Had to add another 1/2” spacer due to the accent piece on the 2020 model. Also had to use 1 1/2” washers instead due to the opening being slightly wider

That's great to hear that it is also compatible on 2020+ models as well with a few changes. For additional sturdiness, other users have been drilling a hole at the top and using a third set of hardware. Of course this is optional but does require to drill a hole on the mesh/plastic plate (as my video was being more conservative on not altering OEM parts). Just saw this message. Thank you for your question. Someone stated that it works with 2020+ models with additional spacer length (another 1/2”) to clear the accent piece (since it is thicker). Also the washer size was increased to 1 1/2” since the opening is wider to hold it in place. So it is possible but a few different hardware sizes would be needed. Thank you for the comment. That plate cover was included when I purchased my Hondata at that time. Although you can find a it on ebay. Genuine Honda brand goes around $25. I appreciate you checking out the video and supporting the channel 💯

Thank you for the comment! To remove the plate, you can either: 1) fit your fingers to push down on those spring loaded bolts or 2) remove the front plastic vent (it is held by tabs and one screw). For your question to make it stick out more, you can add more nylon spacers or find one-piece longer spacers. What size is the tall screws

If you are referring to the screw size that holds the plate to the car, they are 3/16 x 3” toggle bolts. They are sold at your nearest hardware store. Thanks for checking out the video.

Hmm, I just got the mount from Amazon and noticed the 4 holes have no type of built-in nut to thread the plate screws in. Do you just screw them into the holes and they’re able to hold? 🤔

Thank you for the comment. The plate is held by just screwing directly to the plastic of the mount. The screws had pointed tips. Now you can use other screws (button head with a flat tip) with a nut as an alternative. Let me know if you have any other questions. Thank you for watching and supporting the channel.

To hold up the plate I ended up buying (4) 10-24 x 3/4 screws, (4) 10-24 nuts, (4) more #10 flat washers and (4) #10 lock washers; the screws fit perfect into the mount’s holes and with the washers and nuts, it’s solid. Also just a heads up, in the description, you noted (2) #10 flat washers and not (4)!

Kumusta pare. Thank you for your question. I was told that newer Type R models can work with a few different lengths of parts. You may need an additional spacer length (about 1/2” more) to clear the accent piece in the front. Also the washer size should be increased to about 1 1/2” since the opening is wider to hold it in place. I appreciate you watching the video and supporting the channel. Thank you for your comment. If there is the cutout of the vents for the horn, it should work. I do recommend getting the same license plate I listed on my description because you will have multiple areas to mount it. Find which holes fit to your liking and you should be set. I've been having it on for a week without issues. Having the washers on does hold it securely but if you feel you want that extra tightened security, you can add locktite on the threads. Thank you for your support and watching the video.

That car already has cooling issues I wouldn’t want to restrict the air flow

I agree that the FK8 has cooling issues especially if tracked continuously but the hole on the frontside vent is meant for the horn sound not for cooling. Although, blocking the radiator or intercooler would be an issue. In this case, it isn’t blocking any of those components. Thank you for watching and supporting the channel👍
