Just watched your video with Steve I follow Steve channel religiously and just subscribed to yours after watching. My son and I just fished Brannon island Sherman island and Franks tract area Sunday December 2 water very stained and could not locate any active birds at all. We had one bite for one fish . We through jerk baits rattle traps spinner baits swim baits large and small primarily white on every shallow flat we could find we evened spooned for them where we could see them on ledges no luck . The water was very stained muddy. Does the muddy water shut down the activity or is there a technic other than bait to catch them in muddy water or just search for clean water. Anything you can advise me to do would be greatly appreciated Thank you for your time and do you guide ??

Hey thanks for subscribing and watching the channel. It's tough to find fish in stained water sometimes, but you can definitely do it. My advice would be try to find clearer water by heading more east of franks tract. Maybe I’ll do a video about trying to locate fish in muddy water or when fishing is tough. And I do not guide.

I fish both mornings and evenings. My rule of thumb is if the morning hasn’t been good then fish evenings. If evenings haven’t been good fish mornings.

Usually the same way as on the boat. I used to just walk and look for birds. That’s actually how I discovered the concept of find the birds to find the fish.
