Best approach is to submit separate EOIs for all the states for which your occupation is eligible by repeating the same process of submission on SkillSelect. I submitted an Expression of Interest (EOI) last year with a point calculation of 70. However, upon reviewing my EOI this year, I noticed that it now shows 75 points. It appears that an additional 5 points were calculated for my work experience. Upon further examination, I realized that my skill assessment only allows me to claim 10 points. As I am still working in the same occupation, I am unsure whether I need to undergo a skill assessment again in order to claim the additional 5 points that were automatically calculated or should I simply mention the last assessment date in the skill assessment ?

Since, you mentioned what matters more is "EOI initially submitted on", so do you recommend that one must submit the EOI if they have got their skill assessment and PTE, but the spouse is still under process which could take another 3 months. If all of your designations are related to a same field of work and its related to the nominated occupation, then you can get a single Reference Letter from your employer and mention complete job and designation history on it with common JDs, and then you can mention the latest job designation in your EOI with the whole period of employment in the last 10 years.

Yes you can create a separate EOI by repeating the same process of signing up for a new SkillSelect account. Log out from your existing EOI and then register for a new EOI on SkillSelect using the same steps, and then submit the EOI for 189 separately.

After graduation, I did one year internship + one year of NYSC (national service), before getting employed as a full time Pharmacist with the state government for 8 years now. Will the internship and NYSC year count as years of experience? If yes, it means I have to provide documents to back it up. Fortunately, I have my payslips during internship, but I did not get payslips during my NYSC and even the salary that was paid into the bank, I'm not longer using the bank. So should I remove the one year NYSC from my EOI? 2. I have two jobs, one as a hospital pharmacist, and as a community pharmacist and both occupations are nominated, both for 8 years now. The community pharmacy can be seen as a family business because the owner is my father who is late now, and I'm the one managing the business right now. So am I an employee now or the owner? We have CAC documents bearing me as the managing director. I don't have bank statement for the salary, so how do I get the tax clearance? Thank you sir as I await your response

1. Internship not claimable, however, not sure about the NYSC because it depends on its working hours (must be full-time) and JDs relevancy to the nominated occupation. Better to avoid both the internship and NYSC 2. If you can prove it as employment of the business (even as managing director) with relevant JDs to the nominated occupation, and you can substantiate your payment evidence by generating the pay slips and tax returns, then you can claim it as employment case in your EOI. Otherwise, you will have to go through the self-employment route

Yes, its better to submit separate EOI for 189 and for states. For some of the states like QLD, SA and VIC, you should submit a single EOI for both subclasses whereas for NSW, WA and ACT, you can submit separate EOIs for each of the subclass. You can submit a separate EOI for 189. This subclasses is not state sponsored, it is skilled independent visa subclass. For SA, you can submit a single ROI for either of the subclasses i.e. 190 and 491.

Thanks for the informative video. With regard to employment history at 22.00 your saying that employment doesn't really need to be assessed by Engineers Australia(EA). Are you sure with this point? I have a Masters degree in mechanical engineering from Australia which is fully accredited by EA and have recently applied to get this asseed under the Australian qualification pathway. Prior to that I have work experiences but I have come to understand that I need to go with the CDR pathway as that work experience is after my Bachelors degree in India and it is not accredited by any accords. If suppose I claim work experience what evidence should I show should I get an invite?Appreciate if you could clarify on this?

Yes, the EA's Relevant Skilled Employment Assessment is optional to do because you have the option to directly add your relevant employment in your EOI for the past 10 years, if you have got all the required employment documents to submit after receiving the pre-invite.

I have been working in the same position for the same employer for 12 years. I started working with a Diploma in construction science from 2012 up to July 2022 when I completed a bachelor’s degree in construction management. VETASSESS gave me a positive skill assessment outcome. However, they only allocated 1.1(Less than 2 years) as a number of years assessed positively, indicating that the employment between 2012 and July 2022 does not follow a qualification at the required level in a highly relevant field. The employment between July 2022 and July 2023 was also not included as it was used to calculate the qualifying period required to meet the skill level of the nominated ANZSCO occupation. I have all documentation including a reference letter from my Employer confirming my 12 years of experience including detailed roles and responsibilities. How many years should I use in my EOI? Is it as per my employment history or as per VETASSESS? How many points should I expect? Is it 0 or 15? Please assist sir, I am confused.

You can update your existing EOI to add the missing work experience. For SA via working in SA stream, the good chances of invite for Contract Administrator occupation start from 85+ points. So, you can submit an EOI for SA including both 190 and 491.

If the JDs are common, you can submit a single employment reference letter mentioning the actual job designation history with start / end dates in this company.
