We confirm this is true! 😂😂😂 We met online 2019 and became friends to best friends! Then tried to meet up in Nigeria a year later but the pandemic happened. So we continued our online communication, then we started a relationship/courtship, got engaged over the phone on my birthday, met in Dubai for the official meet and greet, enjoyed every second of our time together, to then get engaged again on his birthday🤣🤣🤣 in the physical, (we had to make sure) months later we are now happily married! God is good❤️ and He is working on some things with us. Since He brought us this far we know it is well!

Take it from someone with a successful long distance relationship ( we together and married now). It is doable. Communication is key!! Over communicate. Do it with a trustworthy person. Don't settle issues on phone especially nerve racking, relationship breaking issues. Work towards coming together. Don't stress over little things. What would be, would be. Lastly, pray!!

The biggest thing I learned was to plan to have an end to the long distance relationship...by that I mean, a goal to make it close distance at some point. If the two are just coasting with no end in sight, chances are, things are going to become strained and failed eventually.

Oh man we are going to write a book...or at least I am...lol...been with my hubby for 16 years prior to us getting married last August 2021. It was a long road for us with so many obstacles but we knew we would one day be husband and wife. Now going through the covid restrictions and waiting to bring him to the US...we are like..mannn we did this long distance thing...what's a few more months...well...IT'S MURDER! lol we are married now and he wants to be where I am and vice versa. Waiting on immigration process sucks, but hey I am planning my next trip to see my husband as I am typing. It is so worth the wait! You guys are right on point, we facetime everyday, fall asleep on the phone some nights...do church services online together...zoom with the family together, date nights..you name it...we do it...

I like the last point, "have it at the back of your mind that it may not work out" it will help you move on when it doesn't. I was in a long distance relationship for 2 years and yea it didn't work out. That messed up my dating life for the next 4 years. 6 years in a long term relationship and it has taken love, patience, consideration, trust and faith in God for us to still be together. Suspicion and mistrust often set in but with patience and trust, we got through it all. We talk often, we do vid calls, we prayed together morning and night. We got through it. It is not easy and not for the faint hearted.

I am in a long distance relationship and I think it only gets better from here! We understand each other’s way of being without having to be on the phone all day and all night. I do love our FaceTime when time allows it and a daily text to keep each other in the loop of things is a must. Trust. However, time away from each other just makes it more desirable to see each other. I love you guys vibe…no need to be all over each other and yet the connection is beyond real! From what I have learned and seen, one reason that usually makes distanced relationships a problem is if the two parties involved, or presumably one of the parties, is more sexually attracted or more sexually inclined, that on every discussion he/she fantasized or x-ray his or her partner naked for biological exploration. Then, there is the tendency of infidelity. Therefore, it is always good to have a defined relationship and think more than biological exploration. Distanced or closed, once you have not discovered that one thing in your partner that can keep you moving even if other things are no more, then the problem is imminent. In conclusion, know what you want and define what you want, and be candid about your feeling and what you want. @Ling and lamb, you guys are doing a great job! At first...I used to stay with my man later on work putus in a long distance relationship and I can tell you it was the most draining period of my life.
