In this video, I will be sharing how to have the confidence to wear what you want. I want to share some advice on specifically how to not only look but feel confident in every outfit no matter the occasion so that you can wear your dream style! This was a part of my concentration when I was getting my BA, knowledge I love to bring to my consultations and share with clients when styling. I won't be giving you a checklist of clothes to buy because everyone has their own style, but instead different styling techniques and fashion psychology you can use to become confident in every outfit, anytime anywhere. #fashionpsychology

your channel echoes the statement "Fashion is the most powerful art there is. It's movement, design, and architecture all in one. It shows the world who we are and who we'd like to be.” by Blair Waldorf haha. I just love the approach to fashion with a scientific and artistic eye

I’m a logical introverted over-thinker and I love turtlenecks, trench coat etc. a lot of outfits that I feel confident in usually have a lot of structure and it’s pretty conservative. But when I’m at home I love shorts and tank tops so I feel more comfortable and free in my body. It likes when I’m at school, I put up my confidence armor and when I’m at home I can be as vulnerable and relaxed as I need to recharge.

I love it how you include psychology while explaining! When we say that we are not capable of making an outfit look good, we are creating mental schemes (who are very hard to break!) that are transformed into beliefs which reflect in our behavior and are visible to others. That is why we jokingly say someone could wear a potato sack or a trash bag and still look put together and fashionable. It is truly kind of an aura thing, the "vibes" you give off to others, and very well said, could never be bought. We should never put ourselves down like that and believe in negative things. Once we understand the psychology behind it, it becomes easier to achieve. This channel is truly a pearl 😍

Carey Grant and some of the early movie stars come to mind. They wore very nice clothes. Yet, at the same time, they lived in them. They did not fuss around with their clothing. They did not idolize, if you will, the clothes. They could lounge around in them, carry a blazer over their shoulder or toss it over a chair. Very interesting to me. I recently ordered a double breasted camel hair polo coat. Very classic, very elegant in it's own way. My style of overcoat! Thank you for your video I hope to see more of them.

This was such an insightful video! Beautifully done and well spoken. Thank you for acknowledging that it's more so the psychology behind the garments and our internal selves rather than the actual garments themselves. I feel as though when people talk about dressing confidently, they're almost always listing what it is that you should or shouldn't wear. But there's more to it than meets the eye and you explained it wonderfully. Your videos are always a delight.

Fantastic video. Your discussion on these topics is always so insightful, I look forward to whatever topics you cover in your next videos. I also really appreciate how down to earth you made your message in this video by talking about your own experience in becoming more confident or even just acknowledging that when we dress up, we do attract attention, and that's okay. I'm always amazed at how much I can get stuck in an echo chamber of the styles I like and what inspires me based off of online/film/art inspiration, only to get a reality check of how disconnected my personal style aspirations are from what I see day to day on the streets. Frankly, I think the majority of people dress without much purpose or intention, and it doesn't take much effort to look more put together than the average person. But the fact that most people don't put a lot of thought into dressing makes it so that those of us who put greater value on style, clothing, and fashion feel more self concious in public about whether or not we're "sticking out" too much. But I like what you said - ultimately, by choosing to dress well or in any way that makes us feel confident, comfortable, and empowered we're putting out a statement about who we are, who we'd like to be percieved as, and how we'd like to be treated (along the lines of the man in a tuxedo example you gave). I'm going to try that exercise you mentioned about the 3 style icons. Thank you for inspiring and empowering me with this video!

For me it´s hard to dress up the way I wish to because I live in a relatively small city, where people look down on those who dresses in a more fashionable and authentic way. People around here uses pretty much the same style, very close minded to fashion, all the times I tried to use the clothes and the combinations I felt like it, the way people staired at me made me feel unconfortable

I’ve always wondered who was behind your voice in your old videos which I love. Now I see you but you never looked at the camera, which is us your viewer. I know looking away from the camera is a style, doing it the whole length of the video is very alienating and so impersonal, almost a snobbery. I know that’s not your intent but that’s how it translates, at least to me. I’m sure I’m not alone in the feeling. I’d like to say how much I admire all your work in this channel. Brilliant.

Thank you so much for pointing this out to me. I used cards to make sure I covered all the points, but didn’t see that side of it.
