Short update. Yesterday my narc's attorney deposed me. My narc was present, laughing at my answers and my forgetful answers. After close to two hours of answering questions it was my lawyer's turn to ask me questions. He asked 5 questions. I answered quickly while staring at my ex in the eye. We killed it. And then it was my turn to laugh because my ex got flustered. Thank you because these videos helped me.

It takes a lot of practice but you HAVE to master your poker face which needs to be accompanied by body language which is TOTAL non-reactiveness. If you have to say anything (not preferred) stay as vague and neutral as possible (really?, oh, ok, hmmm, etc.). Mirror whatever they say or do back to them. Yes, if you have to communicate at all, do so as an observer. Physically remove yourself as soon as humanly possible. Don’t emotionally engage 🙌

You can’t do anything with these people. Just trust your gut and move on. They’re definitely not shy of making you feel like you’re nothing at all, like you don’t even exist. Things that could’ve been easily resolved in a 5 min convo like mature adults, DOES. NOT. HAPPEN. Everything is about them and their needs. Them, them, them, them. One sided as hell.

GROUNDED!! Stay grounded don't let people trip you up don't falter stand your ground don't allow anybody to make you change your mind and guilt you just have your feet planted like a tree roots and don't move in your negotiation or whatever it is you are involved in. Decisions, conversations, feelings about the wrong they did to you etc. Also double meaning, ground THE NARC like the child they are. Metaphorically send then to their room, put them in a time out.

I said, good bye to all the other ladies. I smiled and gave her a quick look. I kept cool untill we got into the car. I drove us to a quite place and let her have it by saying," no, more audance why did y say what y said? I told her her behavior was unacceptable and if she did not appoligize to me she would have to calll a cab. Anytime. She wants to go out w me to lunch, shopping, ect I am busy everytime. In addition, when I was in court w my 1st husband he was very narristic controling. I told the judge I felt theatened. She, removed him from the court room and granted my requests.

I would say when they are triggering you try breathing! Because whether you realise it or not some of us hold our breath - they said what? And we hold on to it and onto it trying to ignore until they say that one remark too far and then you explode. So I'd like to add, breathe, be aware of when your doing it when your holding your breath in because if you just let it go, doesn't have to be a heavy breath, but something like, oh here we go again and sigh, that breath which you've just done calms the flight or fight response and in intense situations you have to remember to keep breathing when they're saying a shit storm of things to trigger you because my heart would go back to thumping and I might not control myself a second time, keep the oxygen flowing around your body. In pregnant women they say breathe through the pain, slow your breathing down so breathe, breathe though the discomfort but your less likely to give them supply by reacting!

Love, compassion, integrity, and power. These are traits I have naturally I need to remember who I am during this process of disarming these narcs, spotting em' knowing what to say to em' and how to look at it and move on from it without me being hurt by the relationship, situation or person. It's been years I've lived with 6 narcissists they are literally crazy people that think they can get away with illegal stuff but they can't because spirit catches em' then they have bad karma for it and the same cycle repeats

If you have not experienced it yourself you might even not understand what you say, although it is down to the point. When I met my narcissistic wife first time, I was confused as she had a different look than the other girls. I was thinking she is just different. Might be interesting. And I was not aware of meeting the dark side of it. I am now sure, they even do not know what they are doing themselves. As self destruction is also part of their life. In the end easy to understand, but in the beginning very confusing. Thanks for teaching us 🥰

Growing up in a family overrun by narcissists, my observations over the decades suggests that most everything they do or say, is simply in pursuit of the feeling of control. "Does this action or statement possibly bring about even a miniscule feeling of control for this person?" If you apply that question to every peculiar thing they do or say, you might be surprised at the answers you get.

Hi Rebecca, it's Genevieve. I've been going all in with my total separation from him. I flat out told him that I'm done and that I deserve someone who treats me the way that I treat them and he blew my entire life apart. This is the reason I haven't been around, and I 100% know that he is a clinical narc. He admits it! I've said b4 that getting away from him is like untangling Xmas lights, and bcuz he realized that I was gaining my independence, I'm at the point where I absolutely need help. Plmk how I can get back in touch w/you bcuz it's gone beyond what I can handle alone. Sincerely, G

One Year and half ago, I had no clue what narcissism was until I hit the rock bottom and luckily found therapist who navigated me to understand myself first, and then about this insane manipulative behaviour. I was refusing to accept the fact that these type of human species actually exists! I still struggle! When it comes to mirroring, once in a while when I got frustrated with them, I used mirroring to get on their level in my defence. It became hell on earth! They WANT you to mirror them! And when you do - KABOOM! RUN! They loose their minds and do horrible things, or become TODDLERS following with rage and tantrums! For my own safety I don’t mirror!! No matter what title they have, no matter how high is their position in their career - they’re broken human beings who were raised in a very distorted mentality! Knowledge IS POWER and looking back all this insanity makes sense today. My power words are A -ASSERTIVE C - COURAGE Thank you Rebecca for helping us to get clarity, and the courage to move on to n life. Love to all❤

Best power words: from God, Bible verses. By the way, how is it possible, that there is no law against this abuse. I mean seriously. I mean when you say a swear word to someone, which is rather in comparison to that a complete joke, you can get a find. But if someone is brainwashing and abusing you mentally, it's just ok and you can get away with it, it's even accepted in society. I don't say anything to them. I just ignore them because trying to talk to them is like talking to a brick wall. Some of them are not going to be listening to you anyway and will go into a rage if you do try to talk to them. Also. No matter what you say to them they are going to think what they think is right in there head so to me it is useless trying to talk to them. You may end up in a fight with them or a nervous wreck after trying to talk to them so I remain silent.
