Aerobic exercises are ok too. Just avoid rigorous exercises like weight lifting. 2. Dont take creatine supplements 3. Reduce protein intake and eat more vegetables 4. Eat more fiber, add more apples to your diet. 35 grams of fiber a day is okay. 5. Drink more water

James Sir were you able to reduce it immediately in ur first labs after u were out of hospital? Like my mom was at creatinine 4 in hospital but it fell to 3.5 and her blood urea was 80... However I got her checked 10 days after coming back home... The results showed blood urea fall at 47 and creatinine at 3.6....
@IMChrysalis
@IMChrysalis 2 жыл бұрын
Wow. Do you know what she eats? A lot of this kind of thing happens to me because the food in hospital is extremely regulated and whenever I go back to my old way of eating I end up back where I started! 🙄 Sometimes I feel like a "food-Nazi..." But it's worth it, I was diagnosed stage 4, got to stage 3A, but was then diagnosed with colon cancer and had kidney failure in the hospital. They gave me some I treatments,, and after recovery from surgery, I looked up everything I could,, followed good advice... I'm now bouncing back and forth between stage 3B and stage 4, and aiming for the eGFR of 44 that I once had. My creatinine is 1.9... still got work to do.🙂 James is a great help...

Dear Sir, Thank you for your much valid information, Ameen. I do strongly suggest your information to others whose creatinine levels are high. One of the reason is that there is more acid present in your stomach. Try using 1/2 a teaspoon of soda bicarbonate in a glass of water & consume plenty of water to flush the Creatinine out of your body. The one other vegetable is very good is Cellery juice. These are 2 tips for now ,try it & you will find it very helpful, Ameen. Thanks ,Mehrunnisa 🙏

I am so glad you are making these videos. I have CKD -- a long story made short, 15 years ago I was diagnosed at stage 4 and was told it would never get better it would only get worse, however, after 9 years my doctor said my numbers indicated I no longer had CKD. He had absolutely no explanation as to why. That doctor retired and I found a new one. The new doctor ran regular blood tests because of my medical history and agreed that I no longer had CKD. However, approximately 2 years ago I was diagnosed with stage 3 CKD. This is why I appreciate these videos. Hopefully, by using them as a guide and working with my doctor I will be able to keep the CKD at bay. Thanks again for posting these videos.

Some people misunderstand that formula, and I want to make sure you got it right. If you weight 160 lbs, that would mean a target of around 80 ounces a day. This is the standard formula for calculating your baseline fluid intake for an average adult. Things such as health issues (like fluid retention), activity level, and other factors will change your target and be provided to you by your healthcare team.

@@majmaj7076 This can be scary, but it is a sign of protein leakage. There could be from a number of causes - the most common is increased inflammation in the kidneys. You'll want to let your doctor know so that they can run some test to determine the cause and how much protein is leaking. When I was first diagnosed I had major bubbles - but with diet I was able to reduce the inflammation of my kidneys and the bubbles went away in about 2 months. My protein leakage also went to zero. That doesn't mean my kidneys healed themselves - the damage is still there - but a reduction in inflammation can greatly reduce the amount of protein you are leaking.

Your health care team is your best source - they know your health, treatment strategy, labs, and other factors. The "drink only when thirsty" is very old school, I'd double check with your Nephrologist how much fluid you should be drinking at stage 4.

Just got a blood test done and all it said it was normal but when I asked about kidneys they said it was fine. I’m 38 and the egfr said 89. My creatine was 1.09 and I weigh about 152. I consume protein for muscle mass (no more then 120g) while I lower carbs and use fiber and fats-1700 Calories. Am I in normal levels or are they lying? The only thing they said that my cholesterol was a little high but I think that’s bc of consuming eggs but can bring it down, easily.

Creatinine isn't the problem - instead focus on your overall health and managing and symptoms you may have. Creatinine is only a marker to estimate your kidney function.

I do not believe you with some of the things you say. When someone does not look healthy as you do with dark rings around the eyes There is a lack of or something else taking place, So i'm also displeased to see you promoting a product rather than actually spending time of kidney problems.

I'm a biologist with graduate degrees in animal nutrition and some medical training. I also have incipient CKD due to the loss of one kidney to cancer so I have read exhaustively on subjects related to Chronic Kidney Disease, estimating glomerular function, acid/base dietary management theory to name a few related subjects. There is considerable debate over estimating creatinine clearance by measuring the residual amount of creatinine in blood (serum creatinine level). Indeed, there are at least 10 different formulae that I know of used to measure eGFR and research shows serum creatinine level can vary dramatically from person to person depending on muscle (vs. adipose fat) mass; body surface area; age, sex, race -- to name just a few. I'm 70 years old, 6'4", 228 lbs. with a lean, muscular build. When I tested using the CKDI and the MDRD formula (used by the National Kidney Foundation, both of which assume an average body surface measure of 1.73 m2 and average weight of a 70 y/o male of 165 lbs) I was stunned to see that my eGFR was only 42! Yet, when I used the Cockcroft-Gault adjusted weight formula to estimate my eGFR with the same serum data (this formula uses the patient's body weight and body surface area-- mine being 2.48 and not 1.73!) my eGFR was 70!! That's a difference between borderline normal (egfr 70) and Stage 3 Chronic kidney disease (egfr 42)!! My nephrologist then had me do the "gold standard" 24 hour measurement of creatinine output which resulted in a reading close to the Cockcroft-Gault eGFR of 70. So, which eGFR formula does one use given that the range of values can literally vary by as much as 70-80%!?! My point is that simply lowering serum creatinine levels does NOT necessarily mean that your kidneys are functioning better as a.) the formulae for estimating eGFR vary considerably in their estimates of glomerular function, and b.) there are many other factors related to the comorbid factors associated with CKD that must also be measured (BUN -serum uric acid levels; serum pH, K, P, Na, Mg, Ca; as well as other factors such as albumin residue in urine [eg, albuminuria]) in order to clearly understand the true state of one's kidney function.

Sir kidney patients can only take one and half litres water only
@DADVICETV
@DADVICETV 4 жыл бұрын
1.5 Liters would be a water restriction placed on you by your doctor and most commonly for those with kidney failure or fluid retention. Kidney patients should always ask their doctor how much they should drink and not restrict water without the approval of their doctor. Be careful if 1.5 liters was not told to you by your doctor - that amount would be dangerously low for someone not in need of a fluid restriction.
