Also the rails on the side of the stem. As long as you don't do the part that actually contacts the gold connection point in the bottom housing. If you do lube those two "legs" you'll lose some of the tactile feedback.

You should be fine as the switches tails don’t touch the keycap which is where you put the orings I would maybe lube the top of the switches but I may be wrong if you do use a very very very tenant tiny bit overall I don’t think orings will make a difference except giving you a quieter experience

soooo..which lube is best for a more quete/low sound? (using aliaz 60g)
@JoeGaz
@JoeGaz 4 жыл бұрын
205g0. It muffles some of the sound out because of it's thicker consistency.

hey what should i look for with a buttery lube ( i dont feel like getting krytox 205g) what should i look out for/what needs to be in a lube to be buttery.
@JoeGaz
@JoeGaz 3 жыл бұрын
I think you should stick to 205g0. Trust me. It doesn't compare to other lubes. If you want similar you have to mix several lubes like gpl206 and say vpf1506

What lube is recommended for Brown tactile switches? Ive heard good things about Tribosys 3203
@JoeGaz
@JoeGaz 4 жыл бұрын
It depends. My guide shows you different typing/lube recommendations based on the switch. I forgot if trib 3203 is thick lube or thin. If it's a buttery/thin consistency, it is likely perfectly fine! Go for it! For tactile it depends if you want to make the bump less pronounced to be honest. Thin lubes are the best if you don't want to miss out on those bumps :D

Hey Juju, I want to ask about lubing. Is the way of lubing tactile switch is same of lubing linear switch?
@JoeGaz
@JoeGaz 3 жыл бұрын
If you want to maintain the tactility then it may not be. You wouldn't lube the leg of the switch which gives you that bump. But yes basically the same! If you want a buttery tactile switch then you lube the whole thing as I show in this video. same for linear!

@@JoeGaz thanks for replying my question, i greatly appreciate it. But it is safe to use? I will try on one switch and compare it with 204g0, because krytox is about 4$ per gram here
