You're the only person who knows about Pylex and actually how to use it. I've had to explain this to landscapers in California who don't have a clue about treating bermuda in TTTF lawns.

Interesting and thanks for watching! I wish we had more TTTF in west Texas but it’s just to dangerous hot here and not enough shade. Pylex is an awesome product though.

@@SunCityLawnCare Everyone in California wants to try and sell you on sod. I live in a California transition zone so TTTF thrives here. I had a few small patches of bermuda after aerating and overseeding with TTTF. After learning more about lawn care, I read about Pylex. I used it last fall over 9 weeks, then overseeding with rhizomatous 4th Millennial Platinum TTTF after the final application. It was very successful. None of my landscapers knew about Pylex. So people were paying them to kill bermuda unsuccessfully.

Hello Chris. I just bought a new construction here in El Paso. Im planning on installing bermuda grass myself. I’ve see your videos for reference but I have a quick question. What kind of soil do you think I should get to make sure mu grass will grow? Im planning on buying from home depot but there is a lot of options. I cleaned the yard but I don’t know what soil to buy. Thank you.

Great question and your better off getting a bulk delivery from Desert Rock. Screened Compost is what you want. They also call it pure compost. (1 yard for every 1/4inch in height per 500sqft).

How much water for TF in North Texas?
@SunCityLawnCare5 ай бұрын
1.5 inches at least but this time of the season definitely get down your fungicides.

@@SunCityLawnCare I requested a crew to come out and do it---he told me I didn't need it ----what do you recommend that I can buy--its nearly all brown at this point?

Do you use a surfactant with your fungicides?

Haven’t needed to but interesting idea.

Seems like TTTF goes unto dormancy and quickly DIES the next few weeks after (even if irrigated).

I’m having such a hard time growing my tall fescue in my most shaded back yard, it’s been a few weeks since germinating and the roots still seem very very shallow(can easily be pulled out by hand) I water twice a day. In the mostly sunny area(mostly in the sun during the day) it’s just having a hard time growing. Is it just too hot to seed?

If temps are above 80 most likely. It's summer now, TF isn't going to grow much until fall
@SunCityLawnCare5 ай бұрын
Howdy and great question, so fescue Overseeding is a Fall time period process so that you’ve got no issue going into the following spring and summer. A spring time seeding can take place if some early enough so that you’ve got solid germination and mature grass before the heat comes. For now I’d keep it well irrigated and fertilized.
