I wouldn’t recommend tap water as some contain chemicals. The best water to use is purified water from the beauty store!

Wow. Just the video i needed to see. Im just about a month in and finished the starter kit shampoo. Went for my first retie. Consultant said its ok to use my sauve since I'm done with the the sisterlock shampoo. She stated the Shampoo is on backorder. I've been hearing this before I was even installed. So WHERE IN THE WORLD DID YOU GET YOUR SISTERLOCK STARTER SHAMPOO?🧐😊 My hair is very soft already. Im afraid to use the Sauve. 😳

You are supposed to dilute the starter shampoo and use a spray bottle the starter shampoo help your hair lock

Thank you for watching and commenting. Yes, dilluting the Sisterlocks starter shampoo helps. When I used the starter shampoo, over time I began to dilute it and put it in a bottle with an applicator nozzle. A spray bottle works great too. Thank you for sharing the tips 🙂.

Ok just saw your link for the starter shampoo. Not sure if it will say on back order once i go ahead with the purchase but it doesn't say it now. But the shipping is ridiculous! $8.60!! I might take my chances with Sauve clarifying shampoo.

Everyone’s hair is different, so the Suave may behave differently on your hair compared to mine. Either way, I hope you find a shampoo that works for you.

@@RelativelyRichLife The SL starter shampoo. I just ran out of the small bottle that comes with the kit. My consultant said I can use the sauve until I get more of the SL starter shampoo.

I'm 7 weeks into my journey, I've only washed my hair once, right at the 4 week revisit time, My question is; does it help the locks to lock if I wash it more? I have an appointment in another 3 weeks and I had not planned on washing it until that time.

Hi Regina! Congratulations on your new Sisterlocks journey!! Each persons hair is unique and the process is unique. There is a lot of trial and error in this journey- especially in the beginning. For me, overall hair and scalp health is important- so I wash my locks every 2 weeks. Using the right products is key to helping your hair with the locking process (just as important as frequency of washing your locs). Your consultant can help you choose products that support the health of your hair and support your hair’s locing process. I look forward to hearing more about your journey 🙂.

How often did you water your locks the 1st and 2nd week??

Thank you for watching the video and for your question. When I first got my locks, I moisturized them every other day. This is what I did when I had loose natural hair. Overtime, I now moisturize my locks with water as needed- about once to twice a week.
