do you have any experience in 3d printing your sculpts? Your tutorials are really good and would love to see how to apply finished products like these in the print process as well

Hi! Unfortunately I don’t have any experience in that yet. Perhaps channels like Uncle Jessy could help.

Hey there! Can you clear something up for me. I currently use nomad on my ipad mini 5th gen that has 64gb. And nomad crashes often when i try to voxel merge two or more pieces to my sculpt. As I understand it, this is due to high poly count. So I’m considering buying a 2021 ipad pro 256gb, in hopes that i will have less crashes and can voxel merge higher poly count sculpts. Is this true? Can you explain if upgrading to the ipad pro 256gb is even worth it and why?

Hey, thanks for asking. The iPad Pro would be a good investment if you're planning to make a lot of art. I have a 2019 iPad Pro and I don't experience crashes so far. That being said, try to keep your models poly count low as long as possible in the beginning. In the video above the shapes are low poly, and I only merge when i'm happy where the big shapes are. If that doesn't work Nomad may not have enough memory to execute it. Hopefully that helps. Check out Nomad's twitter or Discord if you're on there. Sometimes he posts about any technical issues reported.

How do you lock the floor? When I try this i kept unintentionally moving/ rotating the shapes the wrong way
@AeronCargill2 жыл бұрын
Hi, that’s a great question. Here’s what you do. Tap on the camera icon at the top> and under “speed” turn down the rotation, pan and zoom sliders. This locks your camera in place but you can still sculpt your mesh. In effect your locking the floor. You don’t have to turn off zoom though since the requires a pinch gesture. This gave me an idea for a few tips for a future video. Thanks for checking out my video and channel!

What tablet are you using? What version of Nomad are you using? Right now I'm using the free app on my Galaxy Note10+ and all the videos I've seen, seem to be using more advanced equipment and a purchased app, not the free app.
@AeronCargill2 жыл бұрын
Hi, Thanks for the question. I'm using the full blown app I purchased on a 2018 iPad Pro at the time of making this video.

Thanks for this! Just wondering if you can change the pose of the body? For example make a spider-man crawling on a wall pose?? Thanks in advance!

Sooo much easier than Maya, to get your primitives as x-rays you have to run a piece of script and attribute it to a button

Are you locking the camera somehow? I can’t figure out how to do that 😭 I work on the iPad version
@AeronCargill2 жыл бұрын
Hey John, You can’t lock the camera (as of writing this) but you can check out this short I made showing two tips for using the camera: kzbin.infoK_VfFeQNudk?feature=share You may find all my shorts helpful if you’re new to Nomad. kzbin.info/aero/PLbvLuEYmNxCk_4t6gyUTgDmkNEQzEloQG Thanks for checking out my video!
