You can boost the bass all day long only problem is if the speaker can't reproduce the frequency or handle the extra power is will cause distortion clip the speaker and that can damage it. IF you want your sub or other speakers to sound better don't let it see frequencies it cannot reproduce. You can make a passive crossover with capacitor and coils. A capacitor cuts low frequency and a coil cuts high frequency. You can build a passive crossover that cuts out a massive amount of frequencies you choose the speaker not to see. You see a lot of passive crossovers in home audio speakers and car audio door speaker component sets. You can use a passive crossover with a powered one. You can look up the different configurations that can be made and what kind of components needed. Capacitors need to be bipolar or non polarized and the lower the microfarad number the higher frequencies it lets through. Example a 2.5 microfarad is used on many tweeters. If my memory serves me right one cap inline is a 6db crossover. If you have a cap inline with a coil after the cap in-between positive and negative wire is a 12db (if my memory serves me correct it has been a long time since I built one). Two caps inline one in positive and one in negative line with a coil behind them (on speaker side) in-between positive and negative is a 18db crossover You can literally build a passive crossover to only let the frequencies you want it to see by what caps and coils you put together. I have seen schematics with 6 or more caps and 4 plus coils. There are other components used in passive crossovers for the life of me I can't remember it all it's been 25 years since I really used them in a system. It was fun building them though. Creative World you should do some research and make a few videos on them. I remember a car audio magazine article (before the internet and google search) that had a car audio system with a passive crossover as the only way frequencies were controlled. Kinda a lost art since most amps have them built into them.

@@CreativeWorldPro Your welcome, passive crossovers are fun to build and unfortunately with most amplifiers having built in electronic crossovers a dying art. You can still Google the charts that show what cap and coil vs the frequency cut off range to use. The different "orders" as it is called will determine what kind of circuit you are going to build to obtain the desired cutoff. Really if you tune the circuit just right and use this booster you made here, you could actually get a sub to overpower and play to it's maximum. You could actually do multiple videos covering the different orders from high range to low range. Could be very educational. I am going to sub so if you do a vid on them I will not miss it. I even found a website that had a bunch of the car audio magazine articles archived and available to read on passive crossovers. I will have to look up the one that had a servo motor driven subwoofer, no magnet just a servomotor that was attached to two rods driving the cone of the sub. I remember before the world wide web the crossover list would be published once a year. Of course ya would lose the one 6 months before they put it out again.
