@@calmdown4524 That happens a lot in the beginning so don't stress too much! Focus on the grip with your middle finger and thumb. After that focus on only pulling a single card with your pointer finger. If it keeps happening, don't even try to flick the cards, just focus on the basics until you can control the start. Once you can do that, move back to trying to get air time.

You can but the power might be a bit too much. There are thumb flicks very similar to this that aren’t as powerful so those would probably be a better option for dealing.

I'm struggling with the pointer finger and the glide of it got any pointers (pun not intended)

That's probably the toughest part of this. My first suggestion is to start by only holding about half the deck so you aren't worried about the rest of your grip. Next, I'd go through the motion of pushing down with the tip of your finger and beginning to drag it. You don't need to go all the way down until you're comfortable. Once you can consistently pull it down, then I'd start practicing finishing it. A few other things to think about are the cards you're using and how old/dirty they are. This trick works best with new cards. If you're still struggling, I have a longer tutorial on my channel or you can leave another comment!

This is a common problem when you start. First, get a stronger grip with your thumb and try moving it a little closer to the middle of the deck. Then, focus on where you put your pointer finger when you start pulling down. If you have it too close to the top left corner then it may spring down. You want to aim for about halfway between that corner and the middle of the deck. Hopefully this helps! You can also try watching this video or the full length one in slow motion and follow along with that! Let me know if you still can't get it!

That happens when you pull too much with your pointer finger. Think of pushing that finger into the deck and dragging it down. Also focus on the way the cards are angled

That tends to happen if you don't have a firm grip with your thumb or if you place your pointer finger in the wrong spot. Try mimicking my grip and see if anything improves

Could be a few things. First, make sure your middle finger is on the very corner of the deck. Next, make sure the top left corner is pointing towards the ceiling. After that, work on reaching out further with your pointer finger and really emphasize pulling that finger to your palm. Let me know if you still can’t get it and we’ll work through it

That tends to happen if you're pulling directly down on the card. Think of pulling at an angle and see if that changes anything.

Keep trying and take it slow! Focus on how the card comes off your pointer finger and how you drag it. Once you have the motion down you can start speeding it up to get some extra spring in the card!
