I love how you used to say "Get the confidence you want for your life in English" in the beginning of all your videos before. I felt that it was more impactful and reassuring than just having only the text in a slide.

Dear Anne Marie congratulations for this video you made, I think is one of the best materials posted about this theme, Complaining could be the game for many irascible people, but when the irritation is grounded, often we do not know how to file the complaint, and in most cases would be offensive and due that useless for the receiver. Thank you for your effort and support for understanding not only the language but understand the business and social ettiquette....

This was a mind blowing lesson. Talking with my husband about this lesson, he said he couldn’t believe it that you are giving this type lesson for free as many companies pay a lot of money to get their employees this type of training. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I’m not keen on making complains, but knowing how to make it in the right way, give me the confidence to do it if/when the situation arrives. Kudos

Hi Ann Marie. Thank you so much for this master class. I liked a lot the part of putting the feelings away. Actually, this is one of the most difficult subjects taught in Spain. You know why, because in Spain traditionally we do not have a culture of complaints. Thankfully, all of that is changing with the new generations that have travelled much more, than me, for instance. Nonetheless, I've had to complain several times. Here is Spain has always been a bit dramatic whereas in other European countries or overseas, never has been a problem, on the contrary they even helped me. My experience, I had to complain cos the waiter didn't want to accept 1 and 2 cents coins in order to pay a coffee. Well, there's an exception, airlines, they didn't refund me a flight cancelation at the beginning of the covid-19 outbreak.

I love your videos. You are a great teacher and also a great counselor. In my country (Argentina) the customer atention doesn´t work as well as in USA. And whenever I´m traveling in USA, I use to enjoy the results that I get when I do a complanit. Years ago, onf friend gave me a great advice: a keyword to make a complaint in USA: disappointed. “I feel very disappointed with…”. And, I could check that his key Word really Works. Until once in Chicago that the key Word lost its magic. Jajaja Possibly, if we use modal verbs and we have ven tour emotions before making a complaint…. Who knows?

Anne Marie, thanks for sharing tips on how to manage complaints in English. Could you please make a video about how to criticize something without sound negative? I found good tips on google, but I think some suggestions could be provided for non-English speakers from some cultures that might sound aggressive or negative.

Good evening Anne Marie. Did I tell you that I am about to make a complaint? A young man purposefully ignored me at the library yesterday pretending not understanding what I’ve said. I am quite disappointed.
