Instructions & Supplies Used
1. DIY Paint - Old 57, Farm Fresh, Little Black Dress, Weathered Wood
2. Waverly Paint - White
3. Home Deco Paint - Sage, Royal Blue, Gray, Mint
4. Behr Paint - Antique White, Deep Blue
5. Red Acrylic Paint
6. A bag of sand
7. Clear Polyurethane
I started adding all the paints to the vase in a layered fashion. I dabbed the colors on with a brush at first, I did one color at a time and allowed some drying time in between to start a textured build up. Once that was achieved with all the colors I wanted I then mixed some sand in with a few colors of the paint and started adding it to the vase, lighting painting it in as well as smearing it on.
After I achieved the desired look of stone I let that sit over night. I then returned and proceeded to water down a few colors of the paint and began dripping the paint over the vase to create a more weathered stone textured piece.
Once I received the desired look I let it dry overnight then proceeded with sealing it with a polyurethane so that it can go outside.
I added stone and river rocks for decoration and a water pump for the fountain.
