How to Make a Electric Choke

today we look a cheap and effective way to make a Electric choke that will work on almost any carburetor on any motor imaginable!

Outboard Concept uses springs on the solenoid and /or choke plates...? Making it a one wire operation..ground...and to the start solenoid..or a momentary switch

How about a vacuum actuator choke? Its simple, automatic and is what is on my Yamaha engine.

Love the content like always man. Is there any benefit to this vs a simple 1 way solenoid with a spring?

The spring is the original one on the choke for the motor. You just connect the solenoid to the choke handle.

You'd have to hold the button for that. Could get one of the outboard ignition with push in key choke. That's actually a cool idea.

@@DustinApple you just wire it to the start position o. Key switch. When you turn the key it activates, when the key goes back to run the solenoid deactivates

Or use a choke solenoid off an outboard motor. wire to the start contact on the key switch When key turns the choke is pulled by the solenoid when it's activated. And when you let off the key the solenoid deactivates, turning off the choke.

That's a very expensive option. But it can work.

@@psebowfisher6454 understood but that's not helpful to others unless you can come up with a replacement part number that others can reproduce your alteration.
