This video will teach you how you can finish a subwoofer build in a car with a trunk or an SUV hatch via the use of a false wall. Many people avoid using a false wall, but if you follow some of our tips, you can use one to the full effect! This will allow you to make your subwoofer box install look professional and integrate well with the vehicle!
This video will show the use of several router bits, the chamfer bit, the flush trim bit, the roundover bit, and even the rabbeting bit!

I need to make a cover for them, I planned on doing that as another tutorial but people were screaming for the door pods videos so I didn't get around to it. Door pods are almost done so I will get back to it soon. Thanks for posting.

Well, (off topic) I thank you for replying to my comment, I didn't think you would. But I would get 4 Obsidian Audio 18's and then if I had enough from the $1000 left over I would get one of the batteries needed for that build. Final build plans, 4 OA 18's, 10,000 watts, three alternaters, and 10 batteries. And thanks again for replying to my post, it means a lot knowing that you take the time to read the posts. And just because I forgot to say it before...flawless. lol

The vinyl trim piece is press fit. Check out my other video for more detail there. The brackets are pretty simple, just one edge against the box the other against the back side of the false wall. Thanks for watching

Panel looks Flawless How would you suggest doing a similar piece over a slot ported enclosure and make it look nice? Also if I cut out just the slot it would effectively lengthen the port and lower my tuning correct?

If it ever does happen I'll send you some picks of the build, also would rock a C.A.F. sticker with ya youtube channel for any comps. Awesome vids and don't stop em coming. From me here in Aus

Flawless Fab man. I have a situation here, I am planning a build for a single cab truck, Specifically a 89 chevy 1500 single cab. I MUST fit 2 JL Audio 12W3v3s in the truck, and it needs a custom box, I was wondering if you would recommend letting the local shop (Big Daddy's)build one, or trying to build one myself with no prior experience. The Box must be ported, and hit as low as possible. Thanks!

Love the way that set up looks. But the scrwes on the sub are killing it. Dont take it the wrong way I love your work. But all that hard work you put in to it, to have the sub screws look like that.

Hey, this video is really great, you are very talented and this is super clean looking. Just a couple of pointers, if you don't mind me sharing my point of view. :) Before pictures would be really nice, maybe I missed it, but I didn't really understand what the wall was hiding. It would be really sweat to get a farther away view and slower panning of the finished product to really show what we are looking at and not so close up. Keep up the really great work!

nice job. used to install about 10 years ago. never to this magnitude, usually simple enclosures and amp and deck installs. I now have an suv that id like to put my 2 12's in that are already in a ported box. the false wall is a great idea and I love the clean look. thinking of using vinyl instead of carpet to match my interior. its a big job for me since its been so long since ive installed but im looking forward to the challenge. just subscribed, ill be watchin more vids for more tips. thanks guys!

Flawless! Awesome vid, extrodinarily informative! If you gave me $1000, that would be about R9000 since I'm in South Africa, and with that i would buy 2 sheets of 18mm MDF, Fiberglass chopmat, resin, fleece, a router table and circle jig. All this would be used for fabrication. For my sound i wound use a Targa TAG D1 pro amp, 2 Targa Street series 10" subs and 2 sets of Targa T-5021PC components running on a Targa 2000.4 amp and all hooked up with a Rockford RFK 4X wiring kit. Great work Mark :)
