put the salt in the cucumber and allow 10 minutes. the cucumber will release its juices. you want to get rid of the juice or the tzatziki will get watery. also I usually use vinegar and I dont add herbs, onion and pepper. though I am intrigued to try it. I got to admit that this is a nice twist that you came up with. I will be trying it out soon.

I agree! I have never had that in Greece and I think they know how to make the stuff. But other than that, this looks damn tasty : )

i did say that the burger looked delisious and i do think so but you have to agree that this tzatziki resipe was a bit...... much. anyways as for the burger enthusiast as you say i agree with them when it comes to the BURGER. it was very good.

The thing is that what they say as Tzatziki it isn't the norma recipe. It's not anything too weird, anyone can make it in a few minutes, so they had to do a better research and find a normal recipe of Tzatziki, without any of the extra stuff.

you add neither lemon nor onions in tzatziki, just garlic, cucamber, salt and vinegar. i have to say that as a greek i'm insulted but the burger did look delisious.

Oh and tzatziki has no onions :S we call tzatziki, Khyar be laban in the middle east ... the only difference from the Greek version is we add dried mint and chop instead of grate the cucumber .. please visit my channel if you are interested in Middle Eastern cuisine :)

Does it really matter? Burgers re traditionally made with beef, too. It does not say Gyro either, but you don't see any burger enthusiasts getting insulted. Relax, they aren't Greek.
