I wanted to say a BIG thank you for this tutorial. I searched so long for a good pattern for a helmet but was not able to find anything and to be honest, even yours was not what I was looking for. HOWEVER, the information I was able to get from your tutorial allowed me to create my own altered pattern and make a helmet in the style I was looking to create. If you are interested in the final results I'll be happy to share, but the helmet is listed for sale so I don't want to step on toes and post here if you don't want that. Thanks again for the wonderful information and directions, they were invaluable!

What exactly determines the length I guess you could call it of the inserts for the cap? I noticed the non curved side looks like it stops about an inch or two shorter than the sections you took measurements for.

Okay, first of all, new subscriber, i love your channel, thank you sir. I just have one thing to say : medulla oblongata refers to a part of the brain stem. The bony protuberance you were refering to is known as the External Occipital Protuberance. I don't care about that mistake, but i think that if you went as far as using an anatomical term in the video to be precise when explaining your process, you ought to be interested in the correct term.
