I need to try this base. I have been making M&P shampoo bars for about 2 years and I love them. The only draw back is that my customers love them so much they have been asking for a conditioner bar, um I haven't figured that out yet. Hopefully it is something that can be done. @SunshineSoapandCandleCompany9 ай бұрын
A soap base is much different than a syndet bar. As far as using additives I’m sure you can add about the same amount to any melt and pour base, check the manufacturer recommendations and if they don’t specify try it on a really small batch of soap.

I actually bought this melt and pour base from them too. It is convenient however, even with letting it age first before use it melts down way too quickly while using it. I only got like 2 uses out of one good sized bar that I made. I followed all the instructions on their website and did a ton of research on the ingredients first. made it a few different ways with the same outcome. I really don't think my customers will be happy with only a few times of use. so, it's a pass for me. Too bad because it was rather easy.

Hi Jessica, wow, that is strange! I have had a completely different experience with this product. I have been using my test shampoo bar for several weeks now and it still has a lot of washes left in it. I even tested one of these bars on my dogs (I have two golden retrievers) and it washed both of them twice over with product to spare.

Not personally, however, the description of the product does indicate a balanced PH. After using it in my hair for a while, I can tell the Ph is balanced for scalps and sensitive skin because it doesn’t have a squeaky clean (too clean) or tangly feel.

Cory, I am very hesitant about this...I just feel if your advertising hand crafted shampoo bars, it's a stretch! I went to a lot of trouble formulating my shampoo bars to be upstarted by a premade base! I just don't think they are comparable. You even mention that there are limitations. I guess as a general base to wash your hair with, fine. I just don't feel that your getting the same great additives you get with a hand crafted shampoo bar! How are consumers supposed to know what they are really buying? Those are my concerns with this shampoo base. I don't knock anyone else for giving it a try, but I don't think it's a go for me personally. It was an interesting video to watch. Thank you for keeping us all informed about the possibilities out there! Your an awesome formulator. What are your views on a base vs. Hand crafted? Jill Gross Congrats on three years of Patreon!
@SunshineSoapandCandleCompany2 жыл бұрын
Thank you Jill! Yes, I have had all the same feelings! My personal take on it is the same as how I feel about mp soap. I like my soaps and shampoos from scratch better than the mp bases. That being said, I do think this is a fine shampoo bar and a great alternative for people who don’t have or want a press. Also it makes a great alternative for people who don’t want to invest in all the expensive raw materials to make their own from scratch. It has its pluses and minuses like all bases. 😌

@@high-delights6961 I just think if your going to ask people to pay you for a product. That you should create it yourself from scratch. I don't have a problem with other's doing so. I just as a personal practice, can't in good faith ask people to pay money to me for something I had less than my hands creating the product . I think people that create from a base should advertise their products as such. Sorry if that offends you.
