I strongly recommend to use agave syrup instead of the simple syrup. It is really the perfect match when it comes to tequila.

I've tried using agave and it sinks straight to the bottom if your building it in the glass like this version...If your shaking a paloma than it will work..

The taste difference is not that drastic. The advantage of simple syrup is that it’s neutral and won’t distract the other flavors

We use simple syrup for many things but storing and pouring was a messy issue . Used an old ketchup bottle. Life is good !!!

Sounds good. I agree with others that agave nectar works well with tequila but you have to shake... and I would put the seltzer in first so it bubbles up through the whole cocktail.

The misses and i just made one each. Came out very strong. If your using cuervo or cheaper, start with 45ml. Youll need some pretty smooth tequila to be using 60ml. But otherwise, very good.

I did... 2oz grapefruit juice (freshly squeezed) 1 tsp of lime juice (freshly squeezed) 2oz of Silver Tequila 1tsp of sugar -- I tried both stirring and shaking.. for me, shake was better Rim the glass with Cranberry sugar Add Ice Then add 2oz of club soda Garrished: Grapefruit skin For fun: throw in LED ice cube!
