Thank you for sharing. Very simple and inexpensive design. No special tool and no store bought bits ! Exactly what I beginner woodworker need. Cheers 👍

So simple and yet so clever. An excellent and easy-to-build router lift, and heaps better than the imported cheapies

I am not convinced, sorry. How to change the router bit? 🤔
@DIYTipstricksandhacksАй бұрын
Well I usually change it from below but if I mount the router higher and wind the lift in all the way the Collett sticks out the top for even easier change of the cutter.

20:38 Very nice design and smooth operation! If I didn't see the coments I would have not know there was some problem with the sound - I was just watching the video with interest. Are the plans still available and how can I reach them?

Aww thank you mate, I lost the audio to the original video. There are cutting plans in the community section of the channel. Let me know if I can assist with your build at all. Thank you for watching!

Very nice video, why did you drill a hole in the bolt head ???
@DIYTipstricksandhacks11 ай бұрын
Thanks mate :) it was actually a threaded rod and a nut, I drilled the hole and stuffed it with wire to essentially create a bolt as the hardware store didn't have a bolt the length I needed. Thank you so much for watching and your kind comment.

Are you getting that your choice of music isn't being appreciated by a lot of people? Like the lift, though.
@DIYTipstricksandhacks5 күн бұрын
@@christownsend7602 oh really? I've had nothing but great comments though 🤣🤣
@blahfnblahfnblah11 ай бұрын
Could you explain a little bit about why you drilled out a hole and put wire into the hole and then sanded it flush in the last nut? I'm not following what the purpose of that was. I'm sure that it's apparent to people who are good at this stuff, but I'm not that good yet, just interested. Also, plans would be dope if they're not already available. Thanks for the video! And the music wasn't that bad.
@DIYTipstricksandhacks11 ай бұрын
Hi there, yes I'm sorry I had explained verbally originally but during the editing process the sound file corrupted. The only purpose of that was to ensure the nut stayed put as this would be the nut visible from above which you turn in order to operate the lift, essentially creating a large bolt rather than a threaded rod with a nut (I couldn't get a long enough bolt from the hardware store). I believe there is a cutting plan on the community page. Thank you for watching :)

I know 😞 lol, the sound file was corrupted so in a desperate attempt to rescue the video I added music, a terrible choice in music though. Thank you for stopping by Miguel

You can turn down the volume if you don't like it. I came here to learn something and ended up watching this video in a loop over and over again learning every detail while swinging in front of my screen....😂😂😂

Even if everything is perfect, there is always someone with a critique or a strategy of doing it better. Meanwhile they didn't have the fortitude and/or the motivation to post it. Thanks for the tutorial, brother. I think you did a fine job!

There is no doubt that you have some wood working skills. My question is: What is the purpose of this video? Are you showing off your skills or trying to teach others? I can appreciate your willingness to share your project however, im afraid you lose a bunch of folks who cant seperate teaching and entertaining. Good luck!

Hi there, thank you for watching! Originally it was an instruction video of how to build my router lift design but the audio got corrupted while editing. I hoped the video as well as the cutting plans would suffice. Happy holidays 👍
