My problem is I live around Amish. As soon as you start something they low ball you. Tell their friends and they also do it. Everyone would rather buy from Amish for bragging rights. Even though they raise them super cheap so the beef is cheap, then they come to me complaining about their product.

It’s very hard to sell anything to the Amish and make a profit. but here’s the thing to consider. They buy tractors now and don’t do anything by hand anymore and as well they use cellphones now. So this new website. They are gonna sell stuff and buy from a website because they won’t do harder work if they don’t have to. Think of that.

Great question. We don't recommend a business that's "all things for all people". You're much better of choosing a premium niche. Also, for most smaller producers, they actually need to make their nut on margin because they are unable to produce volume. As far as the $5/lb cost, that's based on cutting and wrapping and fulfillment.
