I love how you say it can be just beautiful, and it doesn't have to be useful. I often struggle with that concept, in that I'm constantly questioning whether I should create this or that, because there "doesn't seem to be any use for it, so what would I do with it?". This will change the way I look at things, thanks xx

Girl I chose 3 of your videos to watch today. The moon and loon landscape, the needle book and this one and I've so enjoyed your videos and soothing voice as I stitch. Now this one I want to make because I need a pocket case for my little travel Bible. It currently is tucked into a pocket from one of my son's highschool jeans but it sticks out of the top so it will be so practical for me!

I have been wanting to try something along these lines with bits and scraps of moms needle work sewed in. Thank you for helping me understand the backing process. Now I am wondering if I can cheat and use a pillow case she embroidered and crocheted as the front and back......Well done you!

@@peaceofpi-studio I forgot to mention the pillow cases I have are unfinished that mom embroidered, but were never completed. One pair is open all the way so it will be easy to stitch. Wish me luck.

Beautiful bag. I’ve tried sewing patches down individually but the edges are a problem as they stick out and fray. By using your method of sewing across the whole bag then the edges just seem to disappear - genius! Could we have more of these larger projects please? Thanks.

COULD YOU SHOW MUCH SLOWER THAT STITCH YOU DID AROUND THE PIECES. IT LOOKS LIKE BLANKET STITCH BUT YOU SAID IT WAS JUST A STRAIGHT STITCH.
@peaceofpi-studio
@peaceofpi-studio Жыл бұрын
Hi, yes it’s a straight stitch I used to surround the patchwork pieces. I’m taking a stitch perpendicular to the edge of the fabric. To see it slower: There’s a function in youtube where you can play in slow motion. You can find it in the settings (it looks like gear or cog) and one of the choices is “playback speed.” Hope that helps!
